About NEAUM
NEAUM is a speciality coffee shop at 4 Market Square in Penrith, set behind an orange coffee bar front. Dogs are welcome inside, so owners can bring them in while they stop for a drink and something to eat. The savoury side of the counter includes scotch eggs and sausage rolls, and the toasties include a ham and cheese version. Soups, salads and sarnies sit alongside fresh bakes, pastries and a range of cakes and sweet treats. Coffee orders include the flat white. The shop is small, with seats for eating in. Parking is simple to find in the centre of Penrith, where Sainsbury's offers 3 hours free.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the coffee, with the flat white singled out as flavoursome and fantastic, and several calling the coffee excellent even from those who describe themselves as hard to please. Close behind are the toasties, with one praising the quality of the ham, cheese and bread, and the cakes and sweet treats, including a cherry and almond flapjack and the cookies. A Ginger and Lime soda also earns praise. Staff are repeatedly described as lovely and welcoming, and one reviewer notes helpful suggestions for planning a day in Penrith. Dogs, including a very large one, are allowed to sit inside, which one owner appreciates on a cold day. The complaints are few but specific. One reviewer received a mocha that was cold and grainy, with the chocolate unmelted, and found it undrinkable and expensive. Another finds the shop small, with no WiFi and poor data access for checking emails. One reviewer ends on a cheerful note about the bright orange coffee bar front.

“Went in for takeaway coffee and cake on Sunday. The coffee was excellent (and I tend to be a bit hard to please in terms of coffee), and the cakes were delicious too. I particularly liked the cherry and almond flapjack - delicious. Service was fast and efficient.”

“Unfortunately the coldest most disappointing mocha I've ever had... Even served in my trusty Yeti travel mug (which keeps drinks hot for 1hr+). The chocolate element hadn't even melted, so was grainy in texture too... wasn't even drinkable as I Milkshake...! Very expensive disappointment!”

“Delicious coffee - one of my favourites to date - and toasties. The sweet treats are delicious too, particularly the cookies! And the customer service was amazing. Thank you to the lovely staff who made our trip to Penrith a little more special :)”
