About Wavecrest Cafe
Wavecrest Cafe is a cafe in Pembroke on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with windows that look down to Angle beach. Dogs are welcome inside as well. Breakfast is served, and the sandwich list includes a smoked salmon sandwich alongside a lamb pasty. Cakes are homemade, and the cheesecake range includes raspberry and white chocolate. Gluten free cakes and gluten free options on the main menu give those avoiding gluten a choice across the board. The beach car park gives 30 minutes of free parking, and local gifts are on sale at the cafe.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the cakes, and the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake draws the most specific praise, with one saying it is handmade by the staff and another taking cheesecake home. Close behind is the home cooked food in big portions, including a filling breakfast, a lamb pasty and a smoked salmon sandwich, with gluten free options on the main menu and among the cakes. Several mention the view down to the beach, outdoor seating, and a welcome for dogs, including inside. Staff are called friendly and helpful, and queues are described as moving fairly quickly. The recurring caveat is how busy it gets: several say they booked ahead to be sure of a table, and one wished for umbrellas or more shade outside. One reviewer also found paid parking expensive beyond the first 30 free minutes at the beach car park. A few leave with cake in a box.

“Very busy, managed to get a table on both visits. Food is great and we'll presented. Breakfast was filling and sustained us until the evening when we arrived home. Cheesecake very morish, we took some home and some cake. Staff very helpful and friendly.”

“Great spot overlooking the beach. I stopped for a coffee on a bike ride from Castle Martin in a loop to freshwater west. Nice coffee. Friendly service.”

“Bright, clean and great food, good portions. Can get busy so best to book a table at Lunchtime to guarantee a seat inside. Outside seating available. Gluten free available in main menu plus cakes. Friendly efficient staff, can have queues but these move fairly quickly. Though busy not noisy and some lovely views of Angle beach from some of the windows.”

“After a week in Great Britian, this was our best meal thus far. Husband had the Lamb pasty and I had the smoked salmon sandwich.”

“The raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was amazing! I was told it's handmade by the staff. Lovely cafe. Dog friendly. Would be good if there was more shade outside e.g. umbrellas.”
