About The Spinners Arms, Springhead, Oldham

The Spinners Arms is a British restaurant and pub on Woodbrook Rd in Springhead, Oldham, doubling as a sports bar for those catching a game. The kitchen's mega Yorkshire pudding, filled with mash, roasts and four meats, anchors the menu alongside a ten pound menu that includes options like cheese and onion pie and minced beef pie. Sunday roasts come with a choice of three meats, among them beef, lamb and chicken. Families with young children are catered for with high chairs, and dogs are welcome inside. An outdoor seating area gives diners the option to eat outside. The pub opens Wednesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays and Tuesdays, and reservations are recommended given the range of roast and pie options served across the week.

Customer Review Summary

The Sunday roast draws the most consistent praise, especially the mega Yorkshire pudding filled with mash, roasts and four meats, and the three meats option of beef, lamb and chicken. Close behind, the ten pound menu earns repeat mention, with the cheese and onion pie and mince beef pie both singled out as well cooked and generously portioned, followed by desserts described as lovely. Reviewers repeatedly highlight a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, noting staff who fuss over dogs brought in after a walk and a family friendly setting that suits groups. No recurring complaints appear across these accounts. One reviewer recalls popping in for a couple of pints and food after a long walk with two dogs, sitting outside on a sunny day, while another describes a first visit that already felt like years of familiarity.

“Went for a meal with my wife on Monday night. We both choose from the ten pound menu and the food was great she had the cheese and onion pie and I had the mince beef pie both meals were cooked well, no scrimping on the amount of food. We both had deserts and they were lovely. The service was great and really friendly we'd never been in before but when we left we felt like we had been going for years. We're definitely going again hopefully to try the Sunday roast. Thank you to everyone at the Spinners for a lovely night.”
