  “Lovely fresh food, the staff are great. Today we were served by Joy and she was so nice and friendly. Really enjoyed my meal, the guy on the meat carvery was really nice too and found me the biggest Yorkshire pudding 🤣 legend. There was a deal on this week and the meals were only £7. They often run deals like this making Tony a really affordable meal out. Can’t fault it.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

  “Had a lovely meal for two here. The food was hot, fresh, and really enjoyable. A special mention to our server, Scarlett, who was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. She made sure we had everything we needed and provided excellent service. We’ll definitely be back!”

  “Honestly had a great experience today Ellesse our waitress was so attentive and made our experience a good one. She deserves recognition as its rare these days to find kind and helpful staff that go above and beyond. The puddings were really good for a chain restaurant too. Will be back”

  “We been to few Toby carvery in different towns as we visit different places and sorry to say this is the worst carvery we have had. To start customer service was shocking they was only 1 lady who actually made you feel welcome i hate that I didnt get her name but well done to that girl. The guy who shows us to the table no customer service in him he needs retraining. Then got to the carvery and no welcome hi nothing just what meat?? Food was all over the the counter so dirty. All the others the staff always cleaning the counter. Still through the food looked ok so still had it sat down started to eat and it was dry and not warm. We didnt get asked if everything was ok no nothing. I really wished we just walked back out had a very bad experience”

  “My partner and I visited this Toby Carvery yesterday and it just wasn't great. When we arrived, we waited around five minutes to be seated despite the restaurant being fairly quiet. I understand staff can be busy and have other workload so this wasn't a major issue in itself. However, the service continued to be disappointing throughout the visit. Our drinks never arrived, and I eventually had to go to the bar to order them myself. Although it is worth mentioning the staff handled the payment issue with the drinks at the end very well, so credit where it's due. The food itself was a mixed bag. Some of it was enjoyable, but the vegetables were particularly disappointing. For a traditional roast dinner, I wouldn't expect the vegetables to be hard and crunchy like stir fry style? They felt undercooked rather than properly prepared. The roast potatoes were quite soggy, and the broccoli was served in large quarters with mostly stem and very little actual broccoli, which wasn't particularly appetising and just looked lazy. I feel that with a bit more care taken in preparing and cooking the vegetables, the meal could have been much better. It's also worth noting that if you arrive later in the service, as we did, the choice of meats may be quite limited. Overall, the combination of poor service and disappointing food meant the visit wasn't enjoyable. Unfortunately, it's not somewhere we'll be returning to. However I can easily see this place being quite good with more consideration taken to preparing the food and possibly retraining staff on customer service.”

  “My wife and I had a booking for 3pm but ended up getting there early as we used transport. so we got there for 2:10pm. the lady at the wait in desk to be shown to your table. got us in early so we was very grateful as we would have got a drink at the bar . When we sat down they asked us what drinks we would like and they bring them to your table. You then go up to the kitchen and select what meat you want . They had about 5 choices to choose from. They will put the meat on and the Yorkshire puddings the rest you help yourself to . They do large or Small . Price for the meal was just over 16.00 pound . The service there was great and we didn't have to wait long .All the staff was friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. Make sure you book a reservation as me and my wife was just going to turn up and we are glad we didn't as it gets very busy. But our first time visit run smoothly. Thanks to the running of the place so well done to all the staff for a lovely Sunday day out. At the end you just ask to pay the bill and they will bring you the card machine. DON'T FORGET TO TIP THE HARD - WORKING STAFF And do it with a smile . And till next time”

  “Since you guys like to blank my emails Visited this branch on the 23rd april I got overchanged (tried saying i ordered two king suze meals) by one of your members od staff and when myself and the rest of the group confronted her she started to get a attitude and tried gaslighting now i got a refund of 11.99 from the manager but still got charged 24.47 and i know thats not right as a king sized meal and ONE portion of pigs in blankets doesn't cost 24.47. I HAVE A VIDEO/PICTURE of what i ordered but you guys like to take the full on mick and want the correct refund and the 5.20 was for a guiness at the bar”

  “We had a really lovely visit to Toby Carvery and couldn’t fault the experience. The food was great as always — the carvery was fresh, well stocked, and everything tasted delicious. It’s always nice being able to choose exactly what you want, and the roast potatoes and gravy were especially good. What really made the visit stand out though was our server, Ellesse. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. She checked in at the right times without being intrusive and had such a warm, welcoming attitude that made us feel really looked after. Great food and great service — we’ll definitely be coming back!”

  “This was our first time visiting Toby Carvery, and we had a wonderful experience. We are foreigners, so we weren’t very familiar with how everything works, but Abi, our server, was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel very comfortable. The carver Josh was also fantastic — the food was absolutely delicious, and he kindly explained the dishes to us in detail. You could really tell that both Abi and Josh cared about giving great service. I came here with my parents, and all of us were very satisfied with both the food and the service. We will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!”
