  “Wonderful fresh seafood, prepared to perfection. Best place in Scotland if you like the freshest fish and seafood. Cash only payments but it is well worth it. Bank 2 minutes away if you need cash. Try the seafood platter for two, it was simply out of this world!”

  “Incredible! Wonderfully friendly service, amazing seafood and excellent price considering the quantity and quality you get. We got ours to take away back to our caravan and they helped pack it up nicely and were so accommodating. Highly recommend - don't miss it if you're in Oban.”

  “A must visit ! Fresh seafood with unbeatable price. Highly recommend the grand platter for 2, it has so much seafood in it including langoustines, king scallops, lobster, peeled prawns, squid, salmon, mussels, etc. Our favourite is the langoustines and prawns, they tasted super fresh and sweet. The sweet herring was lovely too! Also recommend their famous prawn sandwich, it’s filled with prawns and marie sauce, very satisfying. We preferred the prawn sandwich over the crab sandwich. The hot mussels are such good value for money, huge portion. Decent oysters too. Very conveniently located, large variety of seafood, cash only, would def revisit if we’re back in Oban.”

  “I have been here twice. In 2017, my sister, "SassEsnacks" (tan hat with brim) suggested we try it. There is no fresher seafood in the Scotland! Sadly, she passed away in 2019. I returned in 2022 (pink beanie) and the food was better than I remembered. I will be back on October 18, 2026!!! Can't wait!!! This has outdoor seating and I froze in April 2022, but it was worth it!”

  “Packed with people, and it's easy to see why! Fresh seafood, great prices, and absolutely delicious—I was starving and couldn't wait to dig in. Just one warning: keep an eye on the seagulls! They're bold little bandits and will steal your food the moment you let your guard down. A fantastic spot that I'd happily come back to.”

  “Very Good seafood at a fair price. You can get some ready to eat cold platters or e.g. half a lobster. Some dishes like mussels you can get right out of the pan. Delicios. The service is friendly and fast. Ambiente: It's a hut/shack. So I don't expect much there. They've got a nice solid high wooden table where you can stand or sit and ear. Ok. for me.”

  “What can I say, locally caught fresh seafood cooked right in front of you at reasonable prices, right on the docks overlooking Oban Bay, perfect! If you love fresh seafood and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and eating in an informal alfresco setting, then this is the place for you….just mind those cheeky seagulls! I ordered the seafood platter for two as well as some scallops, amazing! Particularly the seafood platter which was loaded with an assortment of delicious crustaceans, squid, octopus and smoked fish. Handwashing facilities are available onsite….and believe me, you will need them! Absolute must if you get the chance to visit Oban, absolute gem of a spot. Fortunately we were able to find a park close by but it can be tricky as this place can get quite busy but…..it is worth the walk if you need to park further away….trust me! Important note - at the time of our visit this place accepts cash payment only. There is an ATM within a 2-3 minute walk if needed.”

  “What a treat this place is. Huge selection of cooked and raw fish/seafood. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ample seating on a big outside table with hand washing facilities. Very clean at the shop counter and table. Highly recommend the grand platter but get there early as they were selling out fast. Big portion, cooked perfectly and the highlight was the scallops that were piping hot and served in garlic butter.”

  “We visited Oban Seafood Hut, also known as the Green Shack, during our trip to Oban, and we absolutely loved it. The seafood was super fresh and really tasty. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the mussels were delicious, and the shrimp with lemon tasted so fresh and simple in the best way. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of the seafood. Just make sure you bring cash with you, as they don’t take card payments. The whole atmosphere was so fun, casual and charming. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but that’s exactly what makes it special. A cute little seafood spot with great food, good prices and a lovely seaside vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Oban. If I visit Oban again, I’ll definitely come back and try more dishes from their menu.”

  “Great food, and a buzzy atmosphere that couldn't be dampened by teeming rain. People from all over the world pushing the best Scottish seafood into their faces without a care. We had the scallops and the mussels. Scallops were perfect, the mussels a solid 9/10. We've taked a seafood platter home. Can't wait to tuck into that. We'll be back”
