  “Had the most fabulous meal in this restaurant last night - wonderful service, lovely surroundings and superb food. Really wanted to experience an authentic Korean meal prior to visiting the country and couldn’t have been more delighted. Food was everything I hoped it would be - we chose a wide selection of sides and mains and nothing was left. The hosts were delightful and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.”

  “Definitely my favourite Korean restaurant in Nottingham. The food is consistently good and true authentic flavours of Korea. I love the piping hot clay pot Jjigae dishes. The staff are lovely always very sweet. The prices are slightly high but good quality. I do wish they gave complimentary banchan like kimchi/radish etc but besides that I would recommend this restaurant.”

  “We were heartbroken when we learned that Sarangchae had closed, as it held so many special memories of incredible meals. That sadness quickly turned into joy when it led us to Sarangbang Korean Food Cafe and what a gift that turned out to be. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome and the café itself was warm and beautiful. Then came the food… and honestly, we almost cried. It was that good. We started with the chicken mandu and the crispy nut chicken (our absolute favourite), followed by the tofu jjajang myun and doenjang jjigae for mains. Every single dish was outstanding comforting, homely, and full of flavour. By the end, we were happily stuffed and smiling from ear to ear.We can’t wait to come back for more.”

  “When you walk pas a restaurant, and find it is full, That is always a good start. I then decided to try get a table, and was shown to a window seat (bar stool type of setup). But happy to get my foot in the door. Once there was space at a conventional table, I was relocated. The food is different, new and interesting. Certainly worth the gander. My first time for South Korean cuisine, and so happy i took the plunge. Meals are well presented, look interesting, and taste fantastic. I would happily recommend this small family run business any time, to anyone.”
