  “Absolute rubbish. Just had a delivery of the ultimeat carvery. £18 + and id chosen the beef and turkey. The beef is literally the scragends of the joint. Full of fatty gristle. The rest was ok, lots of veg and potatoes. But this is disgraceful. I most certainly wouldn't have accepted it at the restaurant and I'm sure nobody else would have either. Do you just send the scraggy bits when it's a delivery. Won't be ordering again and will be contacting head office to complain. I have no idea what I would have received if I'd ordered the standard meal.”

  “Visited Toby Carvery with a friend and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles — always a good start. The interior is a classic pub setting. My friend felt she'd experienced better elsewhere, but personally I thought it was perfectly decent and welcoming — your typical, comfortable pub environment. Now the carvery itself? 10/10. The selection was brilliant and the gravy was lush 🍖 I ordered from the self-serve drinks machine — big range of soft drinks, easy to use. I decided to be adventurous and try something new. Big mistake. I genuinely sat there debating whether to be polite and slowly drink it, down it quickly, or just ask for a swap. The waiter was absolutely lovely and replaced it without any fuss — brilliant service 👏 Food portions were everything I wanted mine to be, though I did spot some seriously loaded plates at other tables. No complaints — it's a great carvery. My friend's meal was absolutely huge, so whoever you bring, roast or no roast, they will not leave hungry. Paid with a gift voucher which was a massive plus — I'm very much a Sunday roast girlie, so knowing gift vouchers are available here is a great little bonus 🙌 No obvious children's facilities that I noticed, but overall this is a feel-good, soul food kind of place where you can sit, eat well and enjoy the moment. Would I go back? Absolutely. Just maybe order the drinks I know 😅”
