Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the pasta, with one reviewer calling it better than home cooking and others praising the beef cheek and pancetta ragu and the casarecci with porcini and stracciatella as well prepared and balanced. Close behind is the service, described as fast, responsive, friendly and helpful, including accommodating a last-minute booking. The wine and drink pairings are repeatedly said to complement the food. Reviewers also mention deceptively simple dishes packed with flavour and good portion sizes. The main criticisms are scattered but specific. One reviewer found the croquettes slightly dense, the asparagus overcooked and the artichoke tasting jarred, with raisins that felt unnecessary. Another found the main menu a bit limited for non-vegetarians. The room draws mixed comments: one diner found it so noisy that conversation became difficult, while others call it quiet or the acoustics surprisingly good, and one finds the bare bulb lighting slightly uncomfortable. Several mention a three-storey layout, and one family meal ended with the server adding personal recommendations that the table loved.

“We visited Benoli last night and it was a lovely meal, food excellent, maybe not cheap but everything was delicious. Service fast and responsive, and nice feel inside. Gave 4 star on atmosphere due to the lighting, which is a bit naked bulbs, and I find that slightly uncomfortable. Would highly recommend and happily go again. The Pasta was delicious and better than home cooking, you left feeling you'd had a meal that there wasn't anything to complain about, very good indeed”

“Outstanding service. Waitress Caitlin was professional and helpful. Great food. Cooked to a really high standard and we were not waiting long. Menu is adapted to British taste. The restaurant was quiet and it was easy to talk. Located within about a 5 minute walk of either Castle Mall or Chantry Place car parks.”
