About Redwell Brewing Co. Taproom
Redwell Brewing Co. Taproom is a brewery in Norwich at 7 The Arches, near Whitlingham Country Park, that makes vegan and gluten-free craft beer and pours it fresh from source in its taproom. Windows look from the taproom into the brewery, and the large room holds many tables plus pool tables, which suits groups. The team offers beer samples before you commit to a pint, and cans are sold to take home. An on-site pizza kitchen takes orders at the counter and brings each pizza to the table by table number, served in takeaway boxes rather than on plates. The menu includes a Margarita pizza and a vegan chicken pizza, and the kitchen staff can advise on allergens. Other food businesses are also invited to sell on the premises on certain days.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza and beer together are what most reviewers come for, with the pizzas described as tasty, well loaded and, from one diner, a vegan chicken pizza that was great. Close behind is the beer selection, which reviewers call large and good, with samples offered before a pint and cans taken home afterward. One finds the keg beers a bit hit and miss. The taproom gets praise for plenty of seating, visibility into the brewery, pool tables and a very large beer garden that suits sunny days and groups. A children's activities day and a Friday pizza and pint deal also earn mentions. The main complaint is the pizza kitchen. One reviewer waited 45 minutes, had the order handed to another table, and received a margarita with no buffalo mozzarella or basil. Another was told a burnt margarita pizza had simply caramelised cheese and did not push for a remake. One reviewer also wanted proper plates instead of takeaway boxes. Still, one group of cyclists were fed pizzas and beers just before closing after a long ride.

“This brewery had a great selection of beers and pizza. They also set out the tap room very well with many tables, visibility into the brewery as well as pool tables. The staff were friendly and willing to let me try beer samples before I bought a pint. Pizzas were also very tasty and well loaded. One improvement would be the use of proper plates as opposed to take away boxes only.”

“Love a taproom so my husband and I were pretty keen to see what Redwell had to offer. The beers are good, and the space is huge so great for groups. The service however - average. Woman at the bar was so uninterested and was complaining about something to her colleague. Then, we ordered food at the pizza kitchen. The girl again couldn’t care less and I knew when I saw her scrawl our table number that she’d got it wrong, but thought she’d figure it out. She gave it to the wrong table right in front of us (this group just ate it even though it may not have been what they ordered? Lol) and we gave it the benefit of the doubt. We waited a total of 45 mins to get our food, going back up after 30 mins to ask for an update and she didn’t recognise me whatsoever, asking what I wanted. When the food came, our ‘margarita’ which was meant to come with buffalo mozzarella and basil didn’t have either of those and was just melted cheese. Waste of time and money ordering food there. Should’ve asked for a refund to be honest but couldn’t be bothered.”

“We had an amazing time here. We traveled from Colchester and were lucky enough to be given a tour by Marcel, the head brewer, who stood in for a member of staff that had called in sick. He knows his stuff! Very informative with explanations about different techniques and tricks of the trade. After the tour we sat with Marcel and the owners (Sean and Kim) for drinks and pizzas. They couldn’t do enough for us. I would highly recommend a trip here. It was a fantastic experience!!”

“Cracking brewery taproom. Very large beer garden in a real suntrap! Keg focussed beers - a bit hit and miss, but something for everyone.”

“What a place, they really went over and above to help us out with pizzas and beers just before they closed. We had just completed day 1 of a charity cycle after riding over 240km! They really looked after us. Pizzas and beers were incredible, thank you”
