Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the teppanyaki, where chefs cook in front of the table and, as reviewers put it, add light entertainment and food theatre to the meal. Close behind is the food itself, described as fresh, delicious and authentically cooked, with one birthday party calling the sushi the best the daughter had eaten. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, polite and attentive, and one server kept checking whether another drink was wanted. Two reviewers mention portions big enough to take leftovers home, and one recommends the coconut supreme for dessert. A few note the outside looks rundown but say it should not put anyone off. The sharpest criticism comes from one reviewer who found the sake too hot to drink or hold, the duck tough, the dishes unseasoned and the ice cream cheap, though even that review says the staff tried their best. Two reviewers marked birthdays here, and one family left with their leftovers carefully packed up.

“We took our daughter here for her birthday and a hibachi experience. I must admit when I pulled up I was hesitant however this has reinforced never judge a book by its cover. We had a wonderful time and the food was absolutely delicious and fresh, we had leftovers which they carefully packed up for us to take home. My daughter said it’s the best sushi she’s had. Staff were so attentive and friendly, truly looked after us making her birthday so special. Thank you. I would definitely go back.”

“I can't recommend this place. The sake was so hot you couldn't drink it or hold the vessel. The duck was tough, the food wasn't seasoned, and the ice cream was cheap. The staff tried their best, but it wasn't enough. The decor is so-so. I'm sad that a place like this exists as a restaurant. I have the impression that someone doesn't know what miso soup and dishes should look like, and it's better not to mention the price.”

“Very good if you want food theatre. Very friendly charismatic chefs there for your entertainment and sustainance. Beautiful aromatic flavours.”
