  “A very pleasant and affordable restaurant with delicious food. There were 8 of us and we stopped in for lunch. Excellent, fast service and friendly staff. We came for the guitar festival and if we're ever in the area, we'll definitely stop in again.”

  “We celebrated mother's day at Chef and Manager today. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. The starters were original and very tasty as were our main courses and desserts. The staff were cheerful and very efficient. The fixed price menu had an excellent selection and was reasonably priced.”

  “This is one of the best restaurants I've visited. The quality of food is unreal for the price. There's a number of restaurants that could learn from this place. Highly recommended. Staff are fantastic and take pride in their work. Hats off to the chef 👨‍🍳 👏”

  “Great venue, ambiance and staff. Had the soup, sirloin steak and Vanilla desert. Steak was a bit over cooked and not a great cut (hence 4 and not 5 stars) but the rest were great. Service was brilliant.”

  “I went to Chef and Manager and ordered Sirloin and chips. All locally sourced. Food was excellent but had to wait very, very long time for one bottle of peroni when it should be only a matter of a minute from the fridge to the table. A 2nd request was made but again they forgotten which I had to ask the third time at which point the staff said "oh you didnt receive the beer?" I said no i didnt otherwise i wouldn't have asked for a 3rd time. I assume the staff completely forgot.”

  “Mediterranean dinner at Chef and Manager in Newtownards near Belfast. It is one of those places that do not exist on IG, yet known to locals and is always fully packed. We were so lucky to have got recommended it and to actually manage to get a table on a Friday! The food was exquisite, the flavours, the presentation, the staff, everything was done with extra care. One of those places when you feel the owners take it upon themselves to ensure you enjoy every detail. . What you see here is duck breast, so tender! Laid on some veggies, and a selection of sauces. Each of them takes you on a different journey. Second main was a rack of lamb (mint crusted), it had a charcoal flavour and the taste was complemented by Mediterranean veggies. Both dishes came with potato gratin. . For starters, we had beans soup and goat cheese fritters with beetroot and bread. I was so tempted to go there again during out short visit”

  “Wonderful food excellent engaging staff great value and good selection of beers and wines. At least my 5th visit. I was hungry and the home made lamb and beef burger hit the spot. The extras and slight changes we requested were no trouble at all.”
