Customer Review Summary
Lasagna is the dish reviewers name most, with one calling it the best they've had in years and another who stopped by chance and loved it. Close behind is the friendly staff, described as courteous and quick even on a busy night, and one reviewer notes they kept serving with a smile with a fan out. Others praise the fresh, crispy fish and chips, a chicken kebab and a shepherd's pie from the specials, and generous portions. The view while eating comes up more than once, as do the outdoor and indoor seating and the vegetarian options. The caveats are small and specific. One diner found the beef and beer pie more a stew with pastry on top, though a delicious one, and called the rhubarb custard ice cream one to avoid. Another wanted pizza but found it only starts being served at 5 PM, and noticed the ice cream flavours available did not match those listed on the wall.

“Affordable, tasty and super friendly! Has vegetarian options and a surprisingly great variety of food! As cozy as a grill can get but welcoming and absolutely nice.”

“We had an excellent dinner here earlier this month. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was way tasty. We both had specials: Chicken Kebab was one and Shepherd’s Pie was the other. Highly recommended!”

“Such a nice local find! We stopped here by chance and loved the lasagna. We wanted to try the pizza, but they only start serving it at 5 PM. The ice cream was delicious with some unique flavors, although the available flavors didn’t match the ones listed on the wall. Great local vibes and a changing daily menu. Definitely worth a try!”

“Fish and chips: the fish was very fresh and crispy, as were the chips. Beef and beer pie: not really a pie, just a stew with pastry on top. But it was a very delicious stew with a good amount of tender beef. The mashed potatoes were very thick. The peas were from frozen, but not bad. Ice cream: vanilla (good), cherry Bakewell (good but very sweet), and rhubarb custard (avoid). Overall we were very impressed by the food this place offered. It was a busy night but the staff was courteous and prepared the food very quickly.”
