About Gwenna Teahouse
Gwenna Teahouse sits by the beach in Porth, on Porth Beach Road, a tea house and breakfast spot with a small, historic interior and limited inside seating. The menu centres on traditional afternoon tea and a classic cream tea of two scones served with jam and clotted cream, alongside a traditional quiche, sandwiches, shortbread, and fudge, with gluten-free options for scones and cake. Service runs on a walk-in basis, so guests simply turn up and take a table where one is free. Cakes are offered alongside the tea service, making the room a natural stop for a light meal or a seaside break.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the homemade scones, served with jam and clotted cream in cream teas, with one calling them the best they have eaten. Sandwiches, quiche, shortbread and fudge also draw praise, and the staff are described as warm. The main complaint is that two egg mayo salads were the size of side salads. One notes the inside space is small.

“This was amazing the staff were very good we were given a table inside when it started to rain outside. We have the crème tea and it comes with 2 scones, the tea was nice but don’t get me started on the scones they come with jam and clotted cream and taste immaculate I had the traditional quiche and it was very nice. I would let you k wow that the space inside is a bit small but cozy if your coming with lots of people then there will probably not be enough space but overall great!”

“Locale ben arredato, nei piccoli particolari e pulito. Personale solare e gentile. Abbiamo fatto una breve sosta per 2 scones ed un pezzo di torna con un buon tea. Anche in versione glutenfree.”

“Great little tea rooms. Good selection on menu with specials as well. Very pleasant service too.”

“Two egg mayo salads cost £22 so had high hopes given the price! However, they were the size of a side salad! Very disappointed as the salad itself tasted nice but cannot justify the cost for what we got!!”
