About McDonald's
McDonald's is a fast food restaurant at Unit 1 in Newark, run as a walk-in counter with no reservations. The dining room is small, with limited indoor space and dine-in tables, and a condiment counter stands inside the dining area. The menu includes burgers and fries. Staff hand out crayons and paper so children can colour in during a visit, which gives younger customers something to do in a compact room. The dining area also has restrooms with hand driers.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff are the main draw. Reviewers describe a polite, welcoming team member who handed out crayons and colouring sheets to children and left one on the table for an adult, another who was patient and helpful, and a manager who accommodated a six-year-old's birthday party with a dozen children and parents. Complaints are more frequent, and chips lead them. Several reviewers report cold, lukewarm or rubbery chips, one notes uneven salting, and another found them cold after a one-minute drive from the drive through. Slow service and cramped space recur, with one calling it the tiniest McDonald's they have visited and another describing overworked staff. Others cite dirty tables, a blocked toilet and broken hand driers. A delivery order arrived cold, missing the bacon and mayo. One reviewer reports mouldy fries, says replacements came out the same twice, and raises food poisoning as a risk. That reviewer also had three raspberry pies swapped for large McFlurrys after the pies ran out.

“I had a really great experience at McDonald's thanks to Sandra. She was incredibly friendly, polite, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. It's not often you come across customer service that genuinely makes your day better, but Sandra did exactly that. She was patient, helpful, and had such a positive attitude while serving customers. People like Sandra are a real credit to the team at McDonald's. Thank you for the excellent service!”
