  “Was intrigued to try after seeing on social media so made the travel along M8/M74 First thing that hit me was shop was really busy which is a great sign staff were lovely onto the special box B Chicken Curry/Fried rice this was served in quite a small box to my suprise but within box it was packed with Chicken and rice onions and sauce. I wasn't a big fan of the curry sauce was bland in my opinion and that could be just me feeling that way. As I said portion size in small box was good maybe better putting it in bigger tray just a thought. Overall I would still recommend Mayflower to anyone as I seen its a busy shop clean and tidy and possibly just me being fussy 👀😳”

  “Seen them on tiktok and tried them. Wow they ruined our normal Chinese we have been going to for 6 years. IT IS DELICIOUS we go almost every week now. Staff are amazing, service is great and food is always roasting when you get it.”

  “chicken is genuinely so dry. they take already cooked chicken and then double fry it in their batter so it's just the dryest most flavorless thing imaginable.”

  “Gutted was buzzing to try this place after watching their videos for years, Got the chicken curry fried rice chips curry sauce one box, Chicken was nice and tender fried rice was cooked well but wow this is the most bland meal I can remember having for a long time, It reminded me of one of them microwave chips and curry lol, there was 0 seasonings couldn’t even taste salt was like baby food. My gf got thin noodles chicken sweet n sour sauce that was excellent and full of flavour small portion tho , Curry sauce is the heart of a Chinese there’s no way they’ve gotten all this attention with that sauce again can’t get over how bland it was my palate is fine btw!”

  “Paid 25 and tipped food was horrible didn’t manage to really eat it wee one wouldn’t even eat it usually loves a Chinese but would eat it and myself and my partner couldn’t eat it wasn’t nice”

  “Delicious freshly made Chinese food , travelled from Whitburn a few times now and the food has always been piping hot when we get home . The beef curry is beautiful and would highly recommend.”

  “a lot of hype regarding this take away on social media which they have nailed but what about the food and service? Order : Beef curry hot fried rice and chips. Service: Very clean and tidy with seating waiting time not bad considering it was a Friday evening. Simon took order behind full plexiglass counter, (not very welcoming ) and quickly disappeared into the kitchen. 4/5 Taste: Beef in curry was excellent thick sauce and spicy rice did go cold rather quick and chips were decent.4/5 Portion sizes were a little smaller than most places ( foil containers ) and price is a good 10%-15% more expensive on average ( cash only typical Chinese ) .3/5 Overall: Decent but not the best as claimed on their social media accounts. 4/5”

  “I got the special box meal B with chicken curry & fried rice with no onions. The food was fantastic I would recommend this takeaway. It' was prepared quickly with only a short wait time and the staff were nice and friendly.”

  “One of the more expensive Chinese take aways in Motherwell. Is the food any better than most, answer is probably. You also get some dishes you do not elsewhere. Chicken balls good enough quality if a little thin. Sauce tasty. Plain chow mein - thick noodles not my favourite - and taste what I would call old style.”
