About Morwick Dairy Ice Cream
At Morwick Farm in Morpeth, Morwick Dairy Ice Cream is an ice cream shop that makes its Italian-recipe ice cream in a kitchen just behind the counter, using fresh milk from the farm's own award-winning herd. Cows can be seen from the ice cream area. Sixteen flavours are on offer and rotate regularly, with black cherry and salted caramel among them, plus lemon sorbet. Ice cream is served in cones and tubs, and buckets and large tubs are available to take home. Fresh milk is sold as well. Dogs are welcome, and lactose-free ice cream for dogs is on the list. A small children's play area sits on site. Parking is a small car park at the front with an overflow car park beyond it, and the shop gets busy, with a queue.

Customer Review Summary
Black cherry comes up most, scooped alone or paired with ginger or Biscoff, alongside mint choc chip, honeycomb, hazelnut, licorice and blackcurrant, plus a lemon sorbet. Reviewers describe generous, creamy scoops with a dense, milky taste, and the ginger ice cream draws particular praise. Staff are called friendly, and one reviewer was offered help carrying a coffee to the table while managing a pram. Families mention the play area, outdoor seating and a lactose free ice cream for dogs. The caveats are crowds and consistency. Queues form and the car park is described as tight or full, so one reviewer suggests using the overflow car park. One diner found the coconut tasted of vanilla, and a double scoop of salted caramel came out about a third smaller than the other because the tub was nearly empty. Several mention watching the cows and calves beside the overflow car park while eating.

“So worth a visit. Tiny car park but room on the road as well. AMAZING ice cream, and something for doggies too! Seating outside and staff super friendly - glad we made the short trip from Warkworth.”

“First time visitors and definitely not the last time. The car park was full which is testimony to the quality of the products on offer. The ice cream is amazing and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, a very pleasant experience.”

“Nice discovery whilst visiting Warkworth. Good choice of lovely ice cream. Small play area for kids as well. You can also see the cows. Parking a little tight but it's a popular place. Will be visiting again soon 😃”

“Polite, helpful staff. Delicious ice-cream flavours. Seating is available both inside and out. It is disabled friendly, access is good. There is an outdoor play area where the children can let off steam. Fabulous family day out ending with a yummy treat. What more could you want? Today I tried hazelnut, black cherry and licorice and blackcurrant. When I ordered ithe licorice I wasn't sure whether it was going to be as yummy as the others. It was as delicious as their other flavours. Morwick mill could give the Italian ice-cream makers a run for its money. It is a taste of heaven on Earth.Go and give your taste buds a treat they won't forget. You won't regret it! It's a shame I can only give it 5 stars.”
