Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise food that arrives hot and fresh by delivery or is ready on time for collection. Salt and pepper chips, chicken balls, veggie chow mein and duck are the dishes named, with the duck described as cooked to perfection. One reviewer says the kitchen happily made shredded chicken in Cantonese sauce on request. Staff are called kind, helpful and honest, and one reviewer feels the offering is improving. Close behind is a recurring complaint about cost. Some call it slightly pricey, and one says two meals with delivery feel like too much for food that is only okay. Others report misses: a hot and sour soup made with tinned ham instead of pork, a watery chicken curry sauce, and chips that looked reheated. One diner says a meal was forgotten. A collection order ran well behind its estimate in a cold waiting area, ending with a short apology and a small discount after the customers asked for their money back.

“Was here in May, hot & sour soup instead of pork it was tinned ham & a few chills & a few prawns. The chicken curry sauce was watery. I wont be back”

“If I could have given a 0 I would have. Order placed online at 6.05pm today, it was estimated to be ready at 6.50pm. We arrived at 6.40pn and were told ‘it shouldn’t be too long for you guys’ after sitting in a freezing cold waiting area that’s needing some severe help from a painter and decorator we didn’t receive the order an hour later. We asked when our order would be ready to be told 5 minutes time. 10 minutes later we asked for our money back and to leave the order. Only for it to be brought out and just a very short apology. I proceeded to ask if there was any way it could be discounted as we have been waiting over an hour to be granted with £5 off our £70 order. I’d have been quicker catching a flight to China.”

“The food is okay, it’s the best place for a Chinese in town but I just feel like I am getting mugged. Two meals usually comes to over £30 with delivery and that’s not even including a starter or drinks. So while the food is alright, it’s not worth that in my opinion.”
