Customer Review Summary
Chow mein draws the most praise, with one reviewer calling the mushroom version very tasty and not greasy and another singling it out alongside the chicken bao. Close behind are the curries and rice dishes: king prawn curry with a good portion of prawns, a lovely pork curry, beef black bean and a chilli and garlic special. Reviewers describe hot, freshly cooked food, generous portions, reasonable prices and speedy service, and several are first-time visitors who say they will return. One notes the shop looks a little tired from outside but was busy with called-in orders and still had theirs ready quickly. Criticism is less common but specific. One reviewer found the food mostly tasteless on more than one visit, another found the Chinese curry very peppery, and one reports leaving a phone in the shop just before closing and not getting it back. Another received chicken balls instead of the prawn they had asked for, with no read-back of the order and a sauce that was not sweet and sour, so half of it went in the bin.

“Was all good but on the 3rd of July I went into the shop. I left my phone in the shop just before closing time. Not heard anything back and showed it was there last but now gone. I was parked just 5 metres over from the shop.”

“Absolutely wrong order that wasn’t read back. Sent chicken balls instead of prawn which I can’t tolerate. Don’t know what the sauce was but it certainly wasn’t sweet and sour and no bbq sauce!!! Too far to go back but what a total waste of money. Need to listen to what people ask for properly. He even had it written on his fone. Won’t be going back , total of £25 and half in the bin !”

“Mostly tasteless. Virtually a waste of money. Not just this time. Gave them another chance but that was the last.”

“This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. From the outside it looks a little tired, but I was pleased with the quality of the food, comparing well with others that I have used over the years. There were one or two dishes that I haven't seen before, and would definitely have again. It was very busy, lots of called in orders, who were being told 1 hour, but they had mine done in less than 20 minutes. Would use again.”
