Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the drinks range, especially the beer, with pints of Guinness and Birra Moretti singled out alongside three real ales gravity fed from the casks. Close behind are a house white and a cracking pint described as decently priced, a vast choice of gin, and a fairly wide range of rums and whisky. Several describe lovely, friendly staff, and the atmosphere is repeatedly called great. Food is limited to pub snacks and a cheeseboard. The drawbacks are mostly practical. A couple of reviewers found the bar closed early in the evening, one noted there is no music or TVs, and one said the 1970s feel of the decor was not in a good way. One local gave a low rating after asking about the cheeseboard in the evening and getting a curt, sharp reply from the woman behind the bar. Others remember warmer moments, like the jockeys who made such an effort for the National.

“Good choice of beers and vast choice of gin. Quite a few wines. Plenty of tables some outside .good service. Good price. Very clean toilets. Only pub snacks. Some times there is live music. There is a car park over the road but you have to pay. Free 1hr parking on the main road. If there is any space.”

“Asked if the cheese boards was available at 8pm and instead of a polite response of "sorry, no" slammed her hands onto the bar shouting "no, not at this time I'm not" I'm a local and I do not recommend this place especially when the women thinks she can speak to someone like that. I'll buy and make my own in the future 👋”

“Lovely bar in the heart of Cliftonville. Lovely Julie and her staff do everything they can to keep the customers happy. Great selection of drinks and a great atmosphere.”

“Three real ales on which are gravity fed from the casks. The decor was not to my taste but others seemed to like it. It had a 1970's vibe to it but not in a good way.”
