Customer Review Summary

Pizza is the most frequent draw. One reviewer from an Italian family likens the base and tomato to Naples, and others name the Lucca pizza, the Napolitana and a calzone taken home. Close behind are the arancini, zucchini fries, seared prawns and mushroom pasta or tagliatelle, with tiramisu and a lemon drop cocktail also mentioned. Parents say kids love the pizza and the fresh bread starter. The complaints are few but specific. One diner found the pasta overcooked and not al dente, and the diet coke flat. Another, celebrating a birthday on the first floor, felt staff were distracted and that desserts and coffee were overlooked, though they still praised the food. Several describe warm, accommodating service, including a table found without a reservation. Two separately mention how the pizza was handled: cut into slices for a parent feeding a baby, and brought on two plates for a couple sharing.

“Food was not great. Pasta was definitely not cooked properly. It was overcooked and definitely not al dente. Flavour profile also could have been better. Diet coke was also flat. Unsure if its because it was busy on this day but still, quality not as expected”

“We stopped by Lucca while out exploring the area on our bicycles. Even without a reservation, the staff were wonderfully accommodating and got us a table right away. The food was simply delicious and fresh - we ordered the seared prawns, the Lucca pizza, and the mushroom pasta, and every single dish hit the mark. The service was attentive and warm throughout. We enjoyed our visit so much that we even ordered a calzone to take home with us for the football later! Thank you for making our experience so great! Wishing you all the best!”

“We had a birthday meal on the evening of 1st August 26 with family members. Food was just amazing as always. The service however was off this night in question. The staff seemed focused on everything else bar the customer experience. It's strange as we have used the restaurant many times for family functions. Never had an issue. I hope management learn from our experience and ensure that being on the first floor doesn't mean we don't want desserts and coffee.”
