Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mostly for the haircut itself, with several praising a barber who takes his time and explains the process. One long-haired customer goes every other week for the cut and beard work, and another says he understands what they want even when they struggle to explain it. Close behind is the welcome: diners and first-timers mention hot towels, shampoo and beard oil, a beer on arrival, and a brew while waiting after dropping in without an appointment. Others describe a relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and a traditional barber shop feel. The one critical review describes a basic cut with an uneven beard trim and lines that were not symmetrical, hair left all over the customer and soap around the neck, and towels that turned cold after starting hot. That reviewer found the price poor value and had to tidy the trim up at home. Several others describe a cut they were happy with from a first visit.

“Not a great welcome but I gave it a go. Shouldn't have. This was very poor service and expensive. Cut & beard trim £49. Whilst the cut is basic and ok-ish there was no attention to detail. The trim was uneven in length and the lines not symetrical. I have to tidy it up at home after paying over the odds. I was left covered in hair- all over not just a bit on my shoulders and soap was left around my neck. Cold wet towels - initially hot- were used on me afterwards and not comfortable and neither was the chair/ headrest. Barber could not be bothered and just wanted it done quickly. Quality is lacking and expensive prices are not value for service. I do not recommend. Do not get seduced by the photos and look of the place.”

“Down from Edinburgh to Manchester with work and needed a haircut. Barber Barber was not just a haircut, it was an experience like no other. I’ve had some good cuts across the years and this too was a great cut. Many try to emulate this environment of the traditional barber shop, this place is THE traditional barber shop. First class staff, knowledgeable and excel in their craft, not art. I’m not going to spoil the experience by going into all the detail, but let’s just say it’s amazing and a real credit to the staff and the owner.”
