Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the generous portions of freshly cooked Thai food, with crispy duck pancakes, chicken green curry, beef with ginger and a "tigger steak" named as highlights. Several say the food is made to order and so takes a while, and most of them call the wait worth it. Close behind, diners mention reasonable prices, a pint described as brilliant, and a family-run feel, with one family marking a grandmother's 80th birthday and another returning the next night. The main complaint is slow delivery. One party waited an hour for food that never arrived, watched takeaway customers wait far longer, and ended up paying for drinks and leaving. A separate critic called the staff unfriendly and the food overpriced and poor. A couple of visitors also found the dining room quiet, empty and cold on midweek October evenings. Even so, the recurring detail among happy diners is a big plate arriving after a patient wait, which one compared to eating in Thailand.

“Place was empty and freezing but was a Monday in October. But the food and pint were brilliant! Had tigger steak, massive portion”

“Just had a Fawlty Towers experience. Can’t rate the food because it never arrived! When we arrived there were 4 other diners waiting for their food. We ordered, an hour later there was still no sign of our food. The other diners just received theirs…at 10 minute intervals, so they couldn’t eat together! During our stay, 4 separate customers turned up to collect takeaways…which they had all waited for over 90 minutes for and only 1 received any food! So we paid for our drinks and left. (Even that took 10 minutes)!”

“Two of us were the only diners. Early October, mid week = quiet in Malton. Our food was excellent: crispy duck pancakes were excellent and a large serving. Main course of chicken green curry with veggies and beef with ginger were both succulent and very tasty. I would go back at anytime”

“Absolutely gorgeous meals! Freshly prepared to order and worth the small wait. Very generous portions. Really enjoyed our food.”
