  “The scallop and pork belly starter was a proper little land-and-sea situation- really flavourful and a great way to start the meal. We shared the côte de boeuf rib-eye, which was good and came with a generous lineup of sides. My personal favourite was the onion loaf, which reminded me of really good pakora. For dessert, we went for the sticky toffee pudding which was lovely and rounded off the meal nicely. The service was warm and welcoming and overall, I think it’s a good steak restaurant with plenty of options. Nothing blew my socks off, but it definitely left me with a full stomach and a happy heart.”

  “We regularly visit Miller & Carter Taplow and have always been very happy with our experience. We had another lovely dinner here today. A special thank you to Angela for her friendly and attentive service. She found out it was my daughter's birthday and kindly arranged a complimentary dessert for her, which was such a thoughtful surprise. Thank you for making our evening extra special.   “The buffet is excellent and very value for money. All food are freshly made, nicely presented and yummy. It is only GBP22 per head. What more could you want? The portion is generous. We cannot finish all the food and have to pack home. Special tribute to Leonie who rendered flawless services.”

  “We had a truly wonderful meal here. Everything from the steak to the sides was cooked perfectly, and the presentation was spot on. The steak was excellent, especially with the herb butter melting right on top. We particularly loved the sides served in the individual metal pans. It was such a nice touch to have the mushrooms and creamed spinach brought to the table that way. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We even finished off with ice cream, which made for a perfect end to the visit. We will definitely be back soon.”

  “We visit Miller & Carter Taplow quite often and honestly have never had a bad experience. The service is always great and the waitresses are consistently lovely and welcoming. We visited today for Mother’s Day and, as usual, everything was spot on. Our waitress Anna was excellent, very attentive and polite throughout our visit, making sure we had everything we needed. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, exactly how we ordered them, and the waiting time was completely normal even though it was a busy Mother’s Day. It’s always a pleasure coming here, and it’s one of the reasons we keep returning. Great food, great service, and a really enjoyable atmosphere every time. Highly recommended!”

  “We went to Miller & Carter for Valentine’s Day and overall we really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was genuinely delicious; the beef was cooked perfectly with great sauces, and the pork and scallops starter was absolutely amazing. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. However, we were disappointed that despite having a pre-booked table, we had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. It seemed like the restaurant had overbooked for Valentine’s night, as many customers were left standing at the bar and understandably frustrated. For a special occasion, that wasn’t ideal. That said, the food and service once seated were excellent.”

  “Been here 3 times over the years and only for large family gatherings. The service is always excellent, We've never had any complaints and the steaks in particular are very good. The restaurant is nicely decorated and is a great setting. We really do love this place and highly recommend. One thing to note, there is a separate parking area for blue badge holders with it's own entrance.”

  “YAS!!!! I Went to Miller & Carter with my mums community/ social group. 🙋🏾‍♀️The service from Francisco was INCREDIBLE!!! 🤗✨🥰A true credit to the Miller & Carter team! He was sweet, funny, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delectable! 😋Thank you to everyone for making this a fabulous dining experience and for also wishing/ singing happy birthday to me.   “Absolutely lovely meal at the Miller & Carter at Taplow, Berks. The whole pub has had a beautiful uplift and redecoration including soft furnishings. It was warm, comfortable, relaxing and so clean. The staff were exremely helpful & attentitive & "on the ball". The food (steaks) were cooked to perfection and it was piping hot when it arrived. The "wait time" to be served was spot on, even though they had a lot of Christmas parties to cater for too. We were not rushed at all. The only slight downfall was my sticky toffee pudding was luke warm, (hence the 4* and not a 5* review for the food) as was the custard, I did bring this to the attention of the waiter and he sorted out a reasonable refund for that. I never ever complain, but felt in this particular case it needed to be said, so it doesn't happen to others. We would definatley return for a special meal as soon as possible. Please remember to add in your car registration number plate into the computer near the entrance lobby, otherwise a parking fine will be charged.”
