About Lyme Regis Brewery
Lyme Regis Brewery is a micro brewery and tap room in the centre of Lyme Regis, on Mill Lane. The brewery was founded in 2010 on the Jurassic Coast, and a new team took over in 2018. That team aims to build on the founders' work and add a new line of beers to the range. The tap room serves craft ales, IPAs and lagers, including Golden Cap lager and Steady Habits NEIPA. Sparkling ciders such as Lilley's Rhubarb sit alongside them, and gin is also on the list. Inside, a small bar has seating upstairs, and bar snacks are available to go with the drinks.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the range of beers. One calls the Golden Cap craft lager the best they have ever tasted, while others single out the Dorset Pearl and the Longshore. A hop-loving drinker found the Steady Habits NEIPA juicy and full of hops, and another enjoyed every IPA they tried. The courtyard comes close behind, described as a relaxed spot where chatting with people from around the world comes easily. Upstairs seating and the small bar inside also get praise, and the staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming. The main caveat is space. One reviewer says the courtyard always seems to be in shade and that people eating fish and chips from along the road take the few spaces. Price divides opinion. One reviewer was disappointed that a pint costs about the same as in London, and also by the gift pack of three cans or bottles in a box. Others call prices reasonable and the takeaway options well priced. Non-beer drinkers mention a sparkling rhubarb cider that tastes like a rhubarb and custard sweet.

“More so, Tap Room. Not sure where the brewery is, but understand it is fairly local. As with all brewery shops, I am disappointed by the price buying direct, more so in Lyme Regis, as a pint is close/same to that in London. Was even more disappointed that they charge even more for the gift pack, which is effectively three tinnies/bottles in a brown box. Oddly, I understood the box is the same price for bottles (500ml) or cans (didnt note, but fairly sure they are smaller). Nicely textured cans though, but makes me wonder if it is a form of plastic making them unrecyclable. Quite pleasant sitting outside, but always appears to be in shade. Being 'the square' people seem to use it to eat fish and chips bought along the road, taking the few spaces available (I would think a little rearranging would at least double seating). Given 4 stars as i enjoyed each of the IPA's I tried, but the price put me off buying any to take home .. nice enough, but not that special IMO. NB maybe all the breweries I have visited over the years have aligned their prices thanks to all the war mongering in the world today, but I don't go out for a drink as much as I used to, as it is so expensive. Also, it was a shame not to find the ale in a couple of the local pubs I visited while away for a few days.”

“Stumbled on this place during a Sunday wander, really lovely! Good selection including sparkling ciders like Lilley's Rhubarb which tastes just like a rhubarb and custard sweet. Other options available too if you're a non-beer drinker like me.”

“If you’re in Lyme Regis there are quite a few places that are a just visit, but at the top of that list, is this little micro brewery/bar in the heart of the town. My wife & I were on holiday in the area and found it while wandering around the town. The beers on offer are amazing, especially the long shore! We were in Lyme Regis for the week, and tried to ensure that we accidentally on purpose passed it on our daily walks.. 😂 100% you have to go, well worth a 5 star review ⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We've been coming here for years for a reason. The beer is fantastic, the atmosphere great and, despite limited seating, there always seems a bench or wall on which to perch with a beer. We've met some fantastic people from around the world here as it is impossible not to chat in the courtyard atmosphere. Despite being during the third heatwave the courtyard was cool enough at night to want to linger; in fact, we have to try very hard not to stay here too long! Recommend the Dorset Pearl.”

“Lyme Regis Brewery have been crafting award-winning artisan beers on the Jurassic Coast since 2010. The brand, founded in 2010, has established itself as a reputable micro-brewery here in our little corner of the country. A new team have taken the helm of the micro brewery in 2018. Supported by our crew of family and friends, we look to continue to craft great beer and share it with friends and visitors alike. We aim to build on the business created by our founders, and evolve the product offering to include a new line of beers. We look forward to sharing a beer with you.”
