“I visited Harbour Moon for Sunday lunch with my family on the 21st December. There were 7 of us. We were put on 2 tables (for 4) with an approximate 30cm gap between them. Naturally we asked for the table to be moved together, however were advised this was not possible. When we asked why, we were advised ‘the bar staff’ said no. On pushing as to who this might be, we were told ‘it was their rules’. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. In the entire time we were there at no point did any staff walk through this gap and it did not seem to serve any purpose not to move the tables together, other than to meet some unknown reason that the staff could not reasonably explain. It seems to me that the staff at the Harbour Moon have forgotten what customer service actually means and how small actions make a big difference in how they are perceived. We ordered 3 roast platters. The waitress forgot one of the orders so we waited an additional 1/2 hour for this. She did apologise for this, however there was no offer of a drink as goodwill. The food itself (when we finally received ours) was plentiful and very good. Unfortunately the lack of customer service would very much put me off returning.”
