Customer Review Summary
Spicy dishes anchor the praise, from a spicy pork with a nice kick that was not overwhelming to spicy tteokbokki, spicy Bulgogi pork and stews full of flavour. Close behind are the kimchi pancakes, beef and spicy chicken bibimbap, and a sweet and sticky chicken one reviewer compares to honey sesame chicken. Several call the food authentic, made fresh and good value, with good portions, and a good selection of vegetarian options gets a mention. The setting is a small, comfy dining room under a Korean grocer, where diners watch one cook work in the open kitchen and say it feels like dinner at someone's house. Complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer found the beef in the spicy beef soup smaller than a fist. Another waited a while for food and got only one cup of tap water. One calls the male owner a little grumpy at times, and one notes seating is limited. One reviewer suggests buying the freshly made kimchi from the shop upstairs, and another likes that the recipe ingredients are sold there too.

“I love this little hidden place. They’ve only got a couple of tables and it’s literally someone cooking out of a small kitchen and you can see the whole process. Feels like having dinner at someone’s house, very homely and good pricing”

“We really enjoyed eating our Korean food here. The children had soy sauce Bulgogi pork. I had spicy Bulgogi pork. And spicy chicken bibimbap. And kimchi pancakes! It was really delicious and we would happily come again. Everyone enjoyed it.”

“Delicious food with good portions for the price. The kimchi pancake was terrific, but my favourite was the spicy tteokbokki. I recommend buying freshly made kimchi from the store too. It may seem expensive compared to prepackaged kimchi but the quality exceeds the price.”

“The taste is good, but the portion is way too small. I ordered "spicy beef soup" for £13.5, but as shown in the pic, the portion of beef per serving was even less than the size of my fist (I'm a female with small hand).”

“Cute little eatery underneath a Korean grocers. Fast, simple yet refreshingly tasty beef bibimbap. Exactly what I needed at the end of the day, as I went for dinner around 5pm. Not sure if they are normally quiet but it was reasonably empty at that time. Seating wise there is limited number of people they’ll be able to fit in, so can imagine if they get busy it may be bit cramped. Hope to pop by again soon.”
