Customer Review Summary

Diners single out flavorsome food in good portions, especially the yoghurt sauce. The main complaint is late delivery, raised repeatedly. One reviewer found the chicken tikka madras tough, stringy and chewy. Another says a driver accused them of lying about a missing order, though extra items were added to the replacement as an apology.

“Ordered on uber eats. Wow the food was lovely fresh and hot when it came. The portion sizes are great especially the yoghurt sauce as you see in the picture. This is the first time I’ve ordered from here and I recommend you try here. Will order again”

“EDIT: For some reason Google Reviews put this on the completely wrong restaurant. I am talking about Chilli & Pepper in Brackley not this place in London. Upon entering the place looks clean and fancy. This is quickly shattered by the quality of the chairs, which, although look lovely are very flimsy and light (as a big man i was worried mine would break when adjusting position) The welcome was warm and were attended to nicely, although things holes in organisation started to show (Starters for another table coming to ours before we even ordered anything) Forgetting drinks we ordered and different waiters checking on us but then having to bring the original waiter to order or ask anything regarding menu. Despite having a bar, no mocktails or non alcoholic drinks except soda and from concentrate juice was another negative. On to the food: I won't specify the dishes I ordered however, anything with lamb seemed to actually be mutton (i know from the flavour and texture). That is not an issue, however, the mutton was not cooked well, it was hard and chewy as hell. If you want to not pay the lamb prices and serve mutton maybe just put it as such in the menu and also, mutton needs to be slow cooked for hours to be pleasant to eat. Just a piece of advice from someone who has worked in high end restaurants. All in all, very average and the food can be compared to a mediocre takeaway in a low income area high street basically. Personally would not recommend. Thank you to the staff for being nice, nothing personal, just the food has a long way to go. (source: someone who has eaten in dozens of Indian/Bengali/Kashmiri restaurants, mainly in London though)”

“I’ve been a loyal customer for a few years now. The food is excellent, however my experience tonight warrants a one star review and I will never order from them again. I ordered my food via their app at 17.38. Two hours later I had still not received my food. The gentleman on the phone (presumably the manager) said that the driver had delivered it which was obviously not the case. The driver then came on the phone also claiming to have delivered it. I said he didn’t and that I have a long order history with the restaurant. The manager apologised profusely and sent out another order. Phoning to confirm it was sent and asking to be called when it was delivered. All fine, mistakes happen. Then the driver arrived at the door without the food, before I could say anything he accused me of lying, saying he had delivered before whilst his phone was on speaker. This is all on video as we have a camera thankfully. To come to my home and essentially accuse me of fraud is beyond the pale. Following an argument he returned with the food and handed it to my partner, saying to her that he had already delivered here. Again, a lie. Interestingly, we had a number of additional items added to our order by way of an apology so the manager obviously knew an error had occurred. However the attitude of the driver means that I will never order again. Shame because the food is good, but I will never accept that behaviour.”

“For a takeaway away that's only 10 minutes away being 50 minutes late is wrong and when I called" oh sir we're very busy" on a Monday night at 8pm....”
