About Mocha's Coffee & Sandwich Bar

Mocha's Coffee & Sandwich Bar is a cafe and sandwich shop on Liverpool Rd S, open for walk-ins Monday to Saturday during the day, with Sundays closed. Part of the seating area uses park benches rather than standard tables, with further seating available toward the back of the space. Breakfast covers sausage, bacon, tinned tomatoes, beans, and black pudding, served alongside coffee, while paninis come out at lunch. Cask ale is available too, particularly after 4. A step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance serves visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. A play area inside gives kids somewhere to occupy themselves while parents eat, and the cafe is dog friendly for those bringing a dog along.

Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is the draw for most reviewers, with a full plate of proper sausage, proper bacon, black pudding and beans, and one reviewer singling out the perfectly cooked eggs. A bacon, sausage and egg sandwich and panini also get praise for flavour and fresh ingredients, and the value comes up repeatedly. Close behind is the cask ale and other drinks on offer, with one reviewer calling it even better after 4 when the cask ale is available and another describing a good range of hand pulled ales. Staff are described as friendly, with one saying nothing was too much trouble. Several mention the comfortable inside, a play area that keeps the kids entertained, and a dog friendly welcome. The one complaint concerns coffee: a reviewer who ordered a flat white received a watered down drink and called it a disappointment. Another reviewer notes that seats continue further back past the front section, and one enjoyed buying a pastry and eating it on a park bench.
