Customer Review Summary
The Lamb Mandi draws the most repeat mentions, often ordered alongside the Chicken Kabsa and its complimentary soup, which one reviewer calls mind blowing. Close behind, reviewers single out the lamb chops, lamb shoulder, and dishes like the Samak Makhbaza sea bass, along with generous portions and the dastarkhaan cloth spread across the table before serving. Several call it good value, meals often under £15, and mention the sit-down carpet seating and halal option. Complaints recur often enough to matter. Multiple reviewers describe a drop in quality: one found the lamb reduced to fat and skin under over-colored plain rice, another discovered a chicken feather in the Kabsa, and one takeout order turned up plastic in two separate chicken mandi containers, met, the reviewer says, with a rude denial from a manager rather than an apology. Others report dirty, mismatched cutlery and a broken plate, a returned fish that came back burnt, a nearly two-hour delivery against a stated 10-25 minute window, and an Uber Eats order shorted to three prawns with no rice and a promised compensation that reviewers say never came.

“The food was excellent. Ordered a Chicken Kabsa and Lamb Mandi and came with a complementary soup which was just mind blowing. Portion sizes were enough to fill you up and everything under £15. Authentic Yemeni Food with plenty of seating, including traditional sit fown on carpet. My only small complaint was yoghurt & tomato chutney were a little less for portion size”

“Chef Ibrahim was amazing he not only gave us the best service that I’ve ever had he went above and beyond for our order for a Party of 7”

“Terrible experience. The app clearly stated that the food would be ready in 10–25 minutes, but in reality it took almost 2 hours to arrive. The delivery kept getting delayed with no proper explanation, and the estimated time was constantly changing. By the time the food finally arrived, it was late far beyond the promised time and the whole experience was frustrating and unacceptable. If you can’t meet your own stated preparation and delivery times, don’t mislead customers. This was a complete waste of time and very disappointing.”

“I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. We were a group of four people, but they only brought three spoons, and all of them were different, like they were randomly picked. The plates were very dirty, and one of them was even broken. …”
