About The Corner Bar
The Corner Bar is a bar in Limavady at 41 Main St, with a restaurant area at the back. The menu is extensive and covers a wide variety of dishes, and it includes a lunch menu and a carvery. The restaurant clears around 8:30 and becomes a disco, so the back room serves diners first and dancers later, while music also plays in the bar itself. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food at The Corner Bar, with the Sunday carvery, beef red curry, steak and a child's pasta all named as good, and the extensive menu and a decent Guinness also getting a mention. Close behind is the staff, described as kind, friendly and attentive, with several families saying the team went over and above for a son and a brother with additional needs. Group meals feature too, including a hen party of 20 in a private parlour and a christening for 12 adults and 3 children, both handled smoothly. A few also like the decor, the reasonable prices and the car parking outside. Two reviewers describe a very different experience. One waited over an hour on a quiet day for a lunch where the gravy and pepper sauce had a thick skin, the mash looked reheated and the salad was warm. Another found tables dirty and five staff chatting at the bar and on their phones, so they left after 15 minutes without being served. One diner notes the restaurant clears around 8.30 and turns into a disco.

“Went in for dinner and a drink at 7:30 on Sunday, the place was empty and the tables dirty. They had five young members on staff who stood at the bar chatting with each other and playing on their phone and never served us. After 15 minutes we gave up and walked out.”

“3 of us went for the £10 lunch menu, the restaurant wasn’t busy and it took over an hour for our food to come out when it eventually did come out you could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp or microwaved as there as such a thick skin on top of the gravy and pepper sauce as well as the mash and the salad on the side was warm. The staff just do not want to be there. They were sitting at tables chatting when people were still waiting on orders to be taken. It has completely put me off coming back”
