About The Cider Barn
The Cider Barn is a restaurant in Leominster, housed in a 450-year-old, Grade II listed barn at Dunkertons Cider Mill in North Herefordshire. The building also serves as a venue for country weddings, family parties and business events, with an events coordinator on hand. Event dining runs from formal plates to a casual buffet, sharing feasts or BBQs. The kitchen cooks with Herefordshire produce, and the roast comes with generous vegetables to share, including a veggie wellington for vegetarians. Dunkertons cider and a selection of local drinks are served alongside. Dessert includes sticky toffee pudding and ice cream in flavours such as fennel or rhubarb. The setting looks out over rolling Herefordshire countryside. The team also takes its cooking out to sit-down dinner parties, larger event catering and pop-up street food stalls.

“The Cider Barn is not just a restaurant. We hired The Cider Barn to cater for our wedding and we couldn't be more happy with our choice. We first walked into The Cider Barn and was in awe of the restaurant itself. Inside you are Transported to country restaurant heaven its just perfect. Anyway we went to have an initial meeting with the chef Sophie and Pauline, events coordinator. We were chuffed by their enthusiasm and interest in our day. However as walked away we thought there is no way that will be a reasonable price, given the majesty of this establishment. We were shocked when they revealed to us how very reasonable they are when it came to pricing. Amazing. Couldn't believe it. So then we started eating there and the food is just out this world, so rich and tasteful and fresh, an honestly emotional eating experience! As for the wedding they dealt with our requests brilliantly cooking our bespoke menu. Pauline was a joy to work with. She was to the point had a clear idea of what would work and what wouldnt, decisive and easy to work with. Then came the food on the day. Every single guest of our loved their food. It was palpable in the air.. everyone is loving their food. That is exactly what you want and thats what The Cider Barn gives you. Do yourself a favour and book these guys.. Absolute quality and excellence with great character. We are so thankful to Sophie, Pauline and the guys they truly made our wedding day perfect!”

“My wife and I had a superb Sunday lunch yesterday. Our first visit. A friendly welcome and serving team. We sat outside enjoying the lovely views across rolling Herefordshire countryside. The food was excellent. Starters of black pudding sausage roll and smoked salmon & shrimp ballotine. Mains of perfectly cooked sea bream fillet and mouthwateringly good stuffed porcetta. Dunkertons cider to drink. Very reasonably priced. All-in-all, a very enjoyable experience.”

“Incredible standout restaurant in a country setting. We went on Sunday and had a roast. The veggie wellington was full of flavour. The beef was the fave for the meat eaters. You get really generous portions of veg to share. Each one was perfectly seasoned especially the leek gratin. Great selection of local drinks and fun ice cream flavours like fennel or rhubarb.”

“I think I've just had the best Sunday lunch that I can ever remember. Not only was the meat cooked to perfection, oozing with flavour, but the vegetables were amazing. Each portion was a delight. Delicately seasoned with herbs and toasted seeds they were in a class above what is served elsewhere. All accompanied with a generous serving of delicious gravy. The sticky toffee pudding was also superb. Simply the best.”
