About The Barn
The Barn is a family-run hamburger restaurant in Leicester, at 142 London Rd. The kitchen bakes its buns fresh each day and makes its sauces on site, and the beef and other burger ingredients come from local producers and suppliers. The halloumi and pear burger is the vegetarian option, topped with real raspberry jam, and the lamb burger sits alongside it for meat eaters. Cheesy chips with nacho-style cheese round out the sides. “Quite simply the best burger I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. We ordered the crispy chicken and classic lamb burgers and both were so succulent. Every single element of the burger tasted so fresh. In fact, every element of the meal tasted fresh! The chips were perfectly crisp and not at all overdone. Every sauce complemented the food. The jerk tenders were saucy and flavourful. The selection of drinks is so varied that there’s a choice for everyone no matter the preference; I must say the peach ice tea tasted incredibly refreshing. Moving onto the experience as a whole, from when we walked in, to when we left, the staff always had a smile on their face and genuinely seemed happy to help. A rarity that this restaurant has is tissues and wipes available for every single table - so convenient! Without a doubt, a must eat - so worth it!”

“My friends and I started our afternoon looking for a new burger spot to try out and we found the barn. We read some reviews and had high expectations. Service was sub par our orders came mixed up which all came out at different times and when prompted about the problem it was shrugged off and dismissed. I wouldn’t recommend if you have allergies. I hope I have a better experience when i come back to try more of the menu.”

“This was one of the best burgers I have had in a loooooong time. Juicy and flavourful (and the sauce and bun added to the flavour). The chips were seasoned well and I loved the signature sauce that came with it. Very reasonably priced for the amount you get. Service was friendly and helpful too. Will definitely be coming back!”
