Quick info
About Huscroft Sandwiches
Cooked-breakfast fillings such as spam, egg and hash brown turn up between slices at Huscroft Sandwiches, a sandwich shop on Racca Green in Knottingley that builds its counter around made-to-order rolls. Sandwiches anchor the menu, with hot food served alongside, including toasties and jacket potatoes. Orders are placed in person at the counter with no booking, and the kitchen also handles catering. Delivery runs from the shop for customers eating at home or at work, and the same range can be collected to take away. A step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in without a kerb or step, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. The shop trades daytime hours from Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays, and calling earlier in the day is worthwhile since some items sell out before closing.

Customer Review Summary
The sandwiches draw the most repeat praise, called gorgeous and well priced, with several regulars saying they keep returning and one suggesting phoning earlier in the day rather than near closing, since items run out. Close behind, the jacket potatoes get a direct recommendation, and delivery earns its own credit for arriving on time with hot food still hot and a pleasant driver at the door. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, though one reviewer found the food decent and the staff nice but the service slow and inefficient. Set against the praise is a recurring complaint about burnt food: a cheese and ham toastie opened at home and found burnt with no offer to remake it, a steak pasty and sausage rolls described as burnt to a crisp alongside cold bacon, and a burnt egg. One customer who ordered spam, egg and hash brown reports getting a thin slice of spam and no hash brown, with an emailed complaint they say was never resolved.

“Just ordered a cheese and ham toastie and when I opened it it was burnt, I had a feeling that was the case when I left the shop but then gave them the benefit of the doubt as I would expect them to offer to do it again if it was burnt, won’t be going there again place has gone downhill”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
