Customer Review Summary
Chips draw the most comment, and mostly criticism: reviewers call them poor, recooked repeatedly, and closer to chip-shop chips than takeaway ones. Rice is described as stodgy and prawn crackers as rotting. Several say quality has slipped from earlier years under previous owners, and one found the satay bland and not nutty. Others describe a very different experience, with regulars praising food that arrives warm and crispy, quick service and generous portions, and one calling it the best local Chinese by far. A mixed meat in oyster sauce was liked for its chicken, prawns and sauce, though the beef was extremely tough and the onion rings very well done, and staff were called helpful and polite. One reviewer reports being ill hours after eating a tasteless King Po Chicken. Another says a salt and pepper share box looked prepared the day before, and one order turned out to be incorrect only after a five mile drive home.

“Really disappointed with my last two orders. The quality doesn’t seem to be improving, and it’s becoming far too expensive for what you get.”

“Sorry about this, you will know who I am, with your CCTV. King Po Chicken , didn't enjoy it, no taste or spice, plenty of cashue nuts. Basically had it around 20.30, went to bed. Had to get up 00.30 with THAT feeling, 30 min later lost 1/2 a stone in the toilet. The worst chinese i have ever had. Don't worry I will NOT be back. I would give you -5 if I could. Sorry.”

“Told the wait was 40 mins , waited 70 mins . Spent £146 . All food tasted similar to each other . Satay was bland and not nutty . Salt and pepper share box looked like it was prepared the day before . Rice was stodgy etc”

“I was hoping for a good curry but very disappointed. I gave them a try when Helen finished and it was awful then. I would say its got worse even chips and rice are poor spent £24 tonight for food very inferior to previous owners who I was happy with for over 30 years. They must be inventing the good reviews themselves. Where is there nice Chinese food local?”
