Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply on the food, and the most repeated complaint is blandness. Several describe dishes lacking spice and seasoning, one comparing a plate to steamed veg, while others find the curry sauces gloopy and oddly sweet, and a few say the dishes were too mild even with a vindaloo ordered hot. Praise centers on the tandoori and curry mains: the mixed tandoori with naan, a chicken tikka bhuna described as soft and well cooked, and a madras, with generous portions noted and the garlic naan called fresh. Takeaway orders draw a recurring gripe about poppadoms arriving burnt or soggy, and one reviewer found chips stone cold. Service divides too. Some find the staff friendly and one server welcoming, and a reviewer with a gluten allergy found the kitchen attentive, while others felt like a burden, and a group of 13 was split across two tables without apology. Delivery to a caravan park arrived on time, and a cold pint of Cobra drew praise, though one table found all its drinks flat. One reviewer noted the waiter offering free mint chocolates at the door.

“Ordered for first time, arrived 5 mins before my allocated pick up time, chicken tikka was good, chips stone cold and all 3 of my popadoms were soggy and not cooked! Someone must have clearly seen there were bad when they bagged them”

“Great little place with a relaxed vibe but sadly the food was disappointing. Ordered chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, plain rice and garlic naan. The naan was fresh and fantastic, chicken chunks were tender and not overcooked but the sauce on the chicken mains was gloopy and weirdly sweet. On leaving the waiter offered us the standard free mint chocolates and said “this is the best bit - better than the curry”! How right they were. Not much competition in this remote area. Maybe that’s a factor….”

“We had a fantastic meal at Seven Spice in Kilgetty. We ordered the mixed tandoori with naan bread and a chicken dansak with rice and chips. Everything was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and the portions were very generous. A special mention has to go to our waiter, Naz. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made us feel genuinely valued as customers. It's rare these days to find someone who not only provides excellent service but also takes the time to have a friendly chat and make you feel at home. His warm personality and great conversation really made our evening even more enjoyable. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all outstanding. We'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend Seven Spice to anyone looking for an amazing Indian meal with exceptional customer service.”

“Had food on Saturday and although the curries and rice ext were as usual stunni g. When it came to the poppadoms it was another story which is a shame. We only ordered 3 as they are my sons favourite but only one was edible. The other two were burnt. Not just a bit brown but burnt. Whoever packed them knew they were burnt too. Tried to phone jnduan about them to let them know but the phone was busy as they are always but rightly so as they do amazing food. What a shame for this time though. 😞”

“From start to finish, the service and overall welcome were disappointing. Rather than feeling like valued customers, we felt more like a burden, as though our presence was an inconvenience. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, and the service never improved throughout our visit. Unfortunately, all of the drinks we ordered were flat, and the food was very bland, lacking both flavour and seasoning. Overall, it was a very underwhelming experience and, sadly, not somewhere we would choose to visit again.”
