Customer Review Summary
Toasties are the draw at this converted barn cafe, with reviewers calling them huge, shareable and "like nothing you've ever seen". One praises a cheese and ham toastie, another a version with whole bacon slices, though that reviewer suggests crispier bits and dips served inside. Close behind are the baked goods: a pumpkin scone described as soft and fluffy without being overly spiced, plus scrumpy and smokie Joe sausage rolls, a Victoria sponge and a moist chocolate cake. Drinks draw praise too, including seasonal pumpkin spice and maple lattes, an iced coffee and an iced mango matcha, and several favourably compare the coffee with the chain across the road. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and lovely. One group booked an afternoon tea with unlimited drinks, and staff offered the next one just before the current cup was finished. Reviewers raise no real complaints beyond that one note on the toastie. Another reviewer describes staff stepping in to make a mother's birthday special after a booking elsewhere fell through.

“First visit here today and we couldn't fault it! Beautifully presented tasty food, nice selection of drinks. Nice atmosphere. We will visit again, our new favourite place for lunch!”

“Fantastic cafe! Delicious coffees(seasonal Pumpkin Spice and Maple Lattes😋), and yummy pastries! Service was top and atmosphere was cozy and chill. I don't understand how anyone would choose to go to the boring green mega Corp across the road for an over roasted coffee when this true British gem is right there with way better coffee! ❤️”

“We popped in here to break up a drive as a random pick on the map and so glad we did. Highly recommend it for anyone else. Especially over the services. We tried the scrumpy and smokie Joe sausage rolls, both were absolutely delicious. Also shared a toastie as they are HUGE. Think the dips would be better added inside and the bacon might be better as crispier bits instead of the whole slice, but they were still lovely. The bread is so soft and amazing. It was way too much food for us but well worth it. Star for me was definitely the pumpkin scone. It was perfection. It wasn't overly spiced like some cinnamon things can be, just a lovely warming flavour. It was soft and fluffy, but it wasn't doughy/underbaked. With a little butter and their honey, A+++. I live 45min away and I'm thinking about coming back just for those. I'm an avid baker too and I'm just so impressed. Go try them!”

“I have booked an afternoon tea for 2. Staff was absolutely lovely! Greeted us with big welcoming smiles. The food was very nice, especially the sausage roll. The Victoria sponge and the chocolate cake were fresh and moist. We had unlimited drinks, the staff would come over right before we finished our current drink and offered to start making next one. Definitely recommend!”

“Cannot thank Magnolias enough. Came here after being let down at “the little muntjac” after making a booking weeks beforehand for my mums birthday to be told on arrival they had no idea about it, offered no alternative so came to magnolias. The girls Lexi and Doris went above and beyond to make my mums birthday special. They were absolutely amazing, friendly and excellent service. Would 100% recommend this place, not to mention amazing food, drinks & desserts!”
