Quick info
About Rowberrys Cafe
Rowberrys Cafe is a cafe in Kidderminster, set inside a garden centre and farm shop on the DY10 4QN side of town. Food is ordered at the counter, and the cafe runs a single till, so orders queue there for both food and drinks. The menu leans on the cheesy bean toastie, which comes with salad and a spoonful of coleslaw. Breakfast is served with bacon, sausage, black pudding and hash browns. Savoury scones sit alongside a large selection of cakes for those who want something lighter. Tables are spaced apart, which leaves room to move between them with a tray.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the cakes, with a large lemon tart and a wide choice of slices drawing praise, alongside cheesy bean toasties served with salad and coleslaw, savoury scones, and a mushroom stroganoff baked potato. Several call the portions generous and the value good, and one describes a pot of tea and coffee as refreshing. The recurring complaint is the queue at a single till, with one reviewer reporting waits of 20 minutes or more and others calling the place dated. Cooked breakfasts draw the sharpest criticism: reviewers describe raw or radiator-dry bacon, runny eggs sent back for being well cooked, and thinly cut black pudding, and one says a server replied "that is well done" and walked off. Another says the hand cut chips tasted like fried oven chips. One reviewer notes a cake ordered for later had not arrived after 30 minutes.

“Decent prices but when they say hand cut chips but serve oven chips fried?! Sorry that takes the P! How hard is it to peel and cut some potatoes? Scampi portion was spot on.”

“Ordering food took a while due to long queue has card machine wasn’t working (can except that wasn’t there fault) brought food out looked nice forgot one order which took a while to come out without an apology. After ordering a cake for dessert which they said to ask for when ready and it will be brought straight out after 30 minutes it still hadn’t arrived. Food was ok not the best but ok, I won’t be eating here again sorry.”

“We both popped in to the cafe for a coffee for my wife and I had a pot of tea and a very large lemon Tart that we shared, as we both are still on our diets!! The drinks were very refreshing and the cake was beautiful. If you are in the area please drop in you won't be disappointed 👍👍😊”

“We return here alot, the cheesy bean toasties are devine, comes with salad and a dollop of coleslaw. A piece of cake is always had, but there is so many to choose from! The only criticism is the waiting time to order food and drinks at the till, sometimes waiting 20 mins or more, although the assistants are very friendly. Maybe more staff and two tills might help to ease the waiting time...”
