  “Food took much longer to arrive than expected, especially as the table next to us arrived around 20 minutes after us, ordered the same pizzas, and were served first. The crust was a little too crispy for my personal taste, although I know many people prefer it that way. That said, the pizza itself was really tasty, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. It's a bit on the expensive side, so it's not somewhere I'd visit regularly, but it's a nice choice for an occasional treat.”

  “Overall a good priced meal. There were 4 of us and had carbonara, risotto, a lamb, and a sliw cooked beef option. All of which was thoroughly enjoyed.”

  “Sad to say our experience at Casa Bella was nothing but below our standards. To start, we arrived at the front door only to stand there for more than 5 minutes as staff made eye contact with us but refused to seat us. Until finally, an employee at the bar looked at me as though I was a lost puppy and asked if "he could help us," only to then turn away and go back to work. When we were finally sat, the employee sped off to our table, dumped the menus and practically ran away. Our waitress was somewhat standoffish and snappy with us - perhaps due to our age or maybe other determining factors. When the food finally arrived, the cheesecake was perfect but the brownie was lukewarm and not up to the standard (or price point! 🫣) they clearly see themselves as being at. The food was pricey for what we could've gotten in a Pizza Express, and wasn't up to par. Furthermore, the corny AI-sounding covers they play on repeat were nothing but additives to our annoyance and utterly cringe-worthy. Perhaps traditional Italian music could help calm the staff? Haha... Joking aside, the service after that began to improve, but our experience as already soured. The food was okay but the service was unwelcoming and we wouldnt dine again. I'm not usually the type of person to leave a review - especially a negative one - and I'm nothing of a Karen, I was just so taken aback by the attitudes of the staff towards customers and felt others should take caution.”

  “Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. To start, we ordered a simple jug of water, which arrived warm and contained visible dirt floating in it. My partner politely asked if it could be replaced, and while the staff were happy to take it back, the replacement jug also arrived with another piece of dirt inside. For our mains, we ordered the sea bass with grilled tiger prawns and a pepperoni pizza. The sea bass itself was enjoyable, but the tiger prawns were certainly not what we would describe as grilled. They appeared only lightly warmed, with no colour or char that you would expect from grilled prawns. When we mentioned this to the staff, we were told they had been pan-fried, but even then there was no visible colouring or texture to suggest this. The pepperoni pizza was edible but quite tough, and not what we expected from an Italian restaurant. It lacked the quality and texture we were hoping for. Overall, the food and attention to detail did not meet our expectations, and based on this visit we would be unlikely to return. To say we spent over £50 for dirty water and food that wasn’t described definitely wasn’t worth it.”

  “We recently visited this restaurant and, to start with the positives, the food was genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different experience. Our first impression was excellent, with friendly and welcoming staff who made us feel comfortable upon arrival. However, after being seated at a corner table and placing our initial order, we felt largely forgotten about for the rest of the evening. When our plates were cleared, the waitress asked whether we would like dessert. We requested a dessert menu, but after waiting around 10 minutes, we had to ask another member of staff for one as it had been forgotten. We then waited a further 20 minutes before anyone came to take our dessert order. We ordered two desserts, but only one was ever brought to the table. After finishing the dessert we did receive, we eventually went to the counter ourselves to request the bill and mentioned that the second dessert had never arrived. The gentleman at the counter checked the order and confirmed that it had indeed been ordered but never delivered. Disappointingly, there was no apology, acknowledgement, or attempt to rectify the situation. Instead, we were effectively ignored again while another waitress processed our payment. We appreciate that restaurants can get busy, and we are generally understanding when it comes to longer wait times. However, what was most disappointing was the lack of communication, attention, and customer care throughout the experience. Mistakes happen, but the complete absence of any effort to recover the situation or address our concerns left us feeling very frustrated and undervalued as paying customers. It's a real shame because the food was excellent, but unfortunately the service fell well below expectations and overshadowed what could have been a great dining experience.”

  “We had a lovely experience at Casa Bella. The food was really tasty and well cooked, with a nice Italian flavour. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. The dessert was delicious too, especially the gelato. It was a perfect way to finish the meal. The restaurant has a warm and cosy atmosphere, and overall it was a very pleasant place for dinner. I’d definitely recommend it.”

  “As lovers of Italian food, we were thrilled to find this restaurant in Keswick. We arrived a little late, but were given a warm welcome and a table for two. We ordered simple pasta dishes and a bottle of red wine. The service was very good and the food was delicious. Very happy to recommend this friendly restaurant. We had the added thrill of being served by waitress from Transylvania! She was delightful and suggested we would love Transylvania and should travel there. We will!”

  “This was about the 3rd time we have been to this restaurant. This was the first time since it had changed management. The food was nice and hot. But just didn’t wow us. The menu seemed to be alot smaller than before/ there didn’t seem to be alot of choice. The service was the let down. It was very slow. I don't think we would return again any time soon. As it seems to have lost the wow factor.”

  “Friendly service. Food okay but mediocre. We had to ask for our main to be brought to us because it was taking its time. We also waited a while for our drinks. The bill arrived with a drink we’d not paid for. Not a bad restaurant overall but northing special either.”
