Customer Review Summary
Diners most often come for the Sunday carvery, praising the large selection of meats and sides, with the gammon singled out as very tasty and the food described as lovely and hot. Several call it good value, one family of six noting a bill with desserts that felt very reasonable, and refillable drinks get a mention. Servers and carvers are repeatedly described as friendly and polite, with some checking in regularly through the meal. Service speed is the recurring complaint. Reviewers mention a long queue outside and slow seating on busy days, with staff looking short-staffed, and one quiet Sunday evening party says nobody took their order, the veggie alternative was forgotten, and dirty plates sat on the table for over an hour. The all-you-can-eat breakfast drew a harsher verdict from one reviewer, who found the bacon tasteless and tough under the heat lamp, the sausages inedible, and the eggs small and swimming in oil. One reviewer was glad to get a table without booking, while another who had booked still waited.

“Decent Toby Carvery, having been to a few now. Service was a bit poor at the start but they looked short-staffed to be fair, as they were slow to seat us. However, onwards from this they were quick to accommodate us seating and drinks and the carvery was lovely and good value. Would recommend.”

“Food was absolutely lovely, a calm and quiet environment and was very easy to talk and chat with others at your table. Miles our server was lovely, checked in with us regularly to ensure our meal was good. He was kind and polite! We had a lovely meal for father’s day and it wasn’t too crowded and it was a lovely time overall!”

“Had a fabulous meal today, in the side room there were over 30 of us and had a really lovely time. Tasha the server was great, very attentive and even knew my 4 year olds name and checked on her. Really friendly atmosphere throughout, the carver Lukas was also really friendly even with the heat & noise of the fan he took time to check he was getting the right meats. We haven't been for a while but said we would definitely be back!”
