About Bella Napoli 2
Bella Napoli 2 is a pizza restaurant at 420 Woodbridge Rd in Ipswich, set up like a takeaway with a few tables. Pizza leads the menu, including a 12 inch spicy sausage pizza, and pasta dishes such as pasta and meatballs sit alongside it. Garlic bread rounds out an order. Diners who like extra heat can add spicy kebab sauce or chilli olive oil to their pizza and pasta, so each plate can be adjusted at the table. It is part of a group of Bella Napoli restaurants.

What reviewers say
Reviewers most often mention garlic bread, spicy sausage pizza, mushroom pasta and handmade meatballs pasta.
Customer Review Summary
Pasta draws the most praise, with reviewers singling out the mushroom pasta, pasta with handmade meatballs and the penne al Pasquale, often alongside garlic bread. Close behind are the pizzas, including a spicy sausage pizza served with chilli olive oil and spicy kebab sauce, plus fluffy light calamari and chips that one reviewer finds especially nice for an Italian restaurant. Many describe generous portions and good value, and several mention friendly, quick staff and a home cooked feel, with takeaway popular among families, one of whom drives an hour for it. The room itself is called dull and basic, more like a takeaway with a few tables. Criticism is sharper but less frequent. One reviewer found the chicken carbonara reheated, with hardly any chicken and no added Parmesan despite asking, and threw it away after a few bites. Another received cold, over salted food in small portions, and a regular notes prices creeping up, so it has become more of a treat.

“So glad I stumbled upon this place. New family favourite, we live an hour away and would drive all this way to get a take away. Home cooked vibe that's a rare thing in takeaways nowadays.”

“Feels like a takeaway with a few tables. Everything is basic but fine. Food was good, without being great. But a hearty main dish and a 250 ml glass of wine for under £20, good value.”

“Honestly, I’ve used this place a few times for their pizzas which are quite good. However, the chicken carbonara is disgusting. It taste re-heating, looks like “slop”, hardly any chicken pieces but tbh they were tasteless anyway, and I had no added Parmesan as requested. I threw it in the bin after a few bites and felt nauseas for a while. Avoid this!”

“Live streamed an accident involving a baby and emergency services on their Facebook page. Have some respect for someone going through a traumatic time. You DO NOT need to film something like this.”
