Customer Review Summary

Diners single out the thin-base pizzas as the standout, repeatedly praising their crisp texture, generous toppings, and hot arrival, with the BBQ burnt ends pizza earning specific mention. Close behind, the honeycomb cheesecake and gluten-free dough balls draw consistent acclaim, the latter described as excellent and nearly indistinguishable from the standard version. Service is frequently called friendly, attentive, and smooth, even during busy periods, though one reviewer notes the music volume made conversation difficult. A few mention the striped staff uniforms as a personal quirk, and one diner reports the portion size could be larger for the price. Several suggest booking ahead due to high demand and current reservations-only policy.

“We couldn't fault the food, or the service. Very friendly, attentive waiter. The pizza's 🍕 we ordered were cooked lovely, and we decided to have dessert. The honeycomb cheesecake 😋 was amazing, definitely recommend 👌 would love to go back. …”

“Great service and I enjoyed my pizza. I eat gluten free due to an allergy to gluten (not coeliac just severe GI symptoms!), and I don't really like gluten free pizzas but I ate all of this pizza. I am still not a lover of gluten free pizzas but this was good and maybe the best I have ever had. I also had the gluten free dough balls which were actually excellent and tasted like the non gluten free ones. I would definitely recommend hers, plus the service was great.”

“Pizza Express is a really solid spot. This place got a nice feel though, warm lighting, clean, and pretty relaxed. Pizza was really good, proper thin base with a nice crisp. Toppings were generous and came out hot. The staff were super friendly and the service was smooth. No tap beer, just bottles and a small wine selection. The only downside for me was the uniforms the staff wear, those striped ones are a bit full on but maybe that's just me. Overall, a good, easy place for a casual meal.”
