About Thornham Deli
Thornham Deli is a deli in Hunstanton, on Thornham, open daily and seating walk-ins without a booking. The kitchen serves all-day breakfasts, including the Fry-Day Full English, and a roast dinner on Sundays. At lunch, a 2-course set menu is offered. Customer Review Summary
Breakfast and brunch draw the most praise, with diners singling out the Fry-Day Full English and avocado with poached eggs on sourdough toast, plus a broad all day breakfast range. Close behind are a roast dinner described as yummy, a quiche, a two course set menu that left one diner stuffed, and cake and lattes that reviewers enjoyed. The attached shop gets frequent mention for local cheeses, bread, farm-fresh eggs and Thornham Mustard with horseradish, alongside crafts, clothing and home goods. Reviewers describe the room as cozy with a large open fire, and one notes it is dog friendly. Staff are called friendly and quick, even on very busy mornings. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who was rudely told to go inside for a menu, then received a nourish bowl with no dressing, soggy wilted spinach and a tiny portion, plus a lackluster chowder with one small piece of bread. Another reviewer describes an order mix-up that staff quickly rectified.

“Friendly staff and welcoming to families with young children and a dog. There was a little mix up with our order, but it was quickly rectified and the food is of an exceptional quality. The menu is also very broad. Have been for brunch several times and would go again.”

“A very poor experience. We had visited a few years ago and had amazing food and service so were looking forward to returning. One of the waitresses was walking past holding menus so I asked if we could please take a look, we were abruptly and very rudely told we should have gone inside to get a menu. We were all so shocked by her manner. I ordered a nourish bowl in the picture attached, which had no dressing as described, the spinach was soggy and wilted with water at the bottom of the bowl. The portion was also tiny for £22.50 this was very disappointing. The chowder special was lack lustre and only came with one small piece of bread. We all left very hungry and disappointed, would not recommend or return.”
