  “Did the 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal because it looked like the best place to eat. We had suffered a cancelled train and a missed ferry and were facing a long wait for another ferry after a full day of train travel…was so much worth the walk! We were met with warmth, empathy and great food and drink! We couldn’t recommend it more!”

  “Absolutely amazing service. So welcoming from my initial phone call and throughout the meal. I asked for the bill and wash assured there was no rush to leave, which was appreciated. Great atmosphere, views and the burger was amazing! Please just carry on doing what you’re doing, and people will keep on coming back! X”

  “Had a fantastic experience at Holyhead Bistro. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The location is great, and the overall dining experience exceeded expectations. Whether you're stopping by for a meal with family, friends, or as a couple, I would highly recommend giving it a try. We'll definitely be returning the next time we're in the area.   “Very disappointing lunch , popped in for a drink on a lovely sunny day , saw other diners food & decided to stay for lunch , noticed a very stressed ( manager ??!!) checking outside ……who’s sat where , why , who’s left this , who’s left that table . Had the teriyaki beef taco … steak as tough as anything so couldn’t eat it , no one came to check on our food or I’d of flagged it up , went in to pay …. What table she said , why u sitting on that 1 it’s reserved … I said we’ve just eaten … well it’s easy to miss people sat outside 🤦‍♀️😬😂. Explained about the steak & it was reluctantly taken off the bill. No apology & receipt given to me , I was embarrassed for her staff with the attitude ! Won’t be rushing back , shame as it’s a beautiful setting but god help them on a really busy day , she had put reserved notices on the tables outside to stop customers I feel !”

  “We booked a table of 3 for a reunion of old friends, who all have fond shared memories of the area from many years ago. It was our first time at The Harbourfront Bistro and we were all delighted from the start! We were greeted with enthusiasm and warmth (even though we arrived late), our table had a great view of Holyhead Harbour and the food we were served was excellent and freshly cooked. The service was attentive but not over-done and the place had a really nice family atmosphere about it. Prices are very reasonable, considering the location and the quality of the food, so we enjoyed our visit tremendously and it was the perfect venue for old friends to catch up with one and other. A quality experience all round.”

  “My wife and I recently visited the Harbourfront Bistro in Holyhead and sat in what used to be the decking area, now transformed into a cosy little spot with a brilliant atmosphere. There’s something genuinely special about sitting in the warm, enjoying great food while watching the horrendous weather roll in outside. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic, friendly, attentive, and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. It really makes a difference and adds to the whole experience. We went for tapas and shared a selection: duck bon bons, sweet potato falafel, meatballs, and sweet potato fries, all absolutely spot on. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and prepared in the open kitchen, which adds a nice touch to the experience. The Asian loaded fries sounded so good we couldn’t resist, and we ended up sharing a portion, definitely worth it! Even the kitchen staff were friendly and welcoming, which you don’t always see but really stood out here. And dessert… highly recommended. The waffle with toffee sauce was the perfect way to finish, indulgent and delicious. All in all, a well-run, consistently brilliant little venue. We’ll definitely be returning 😃 Thank you to the whole team!”

  “We had a lovely meal here as a group of 4. Food arrived super quick after ordering and was delicious with great portions. The menu variation is excellent and it was hard to choose what to have initially! Service great and would highly recommend.”

  “We didn't make a reservation so they could only seat us at 1+pm which wasn't a problem. We just walked along the promenade to build up an appetite! So four hungry people ordered a crab & lobster sandwich, a seafood bisque with homemade spicy rum infusion, a hamburger and a haddock fish and chips. The bisque was great especially with the spiced rum. And the owner seeing is so taken with it, poured an extra tot off the run first is two taste neat! Very nice! The fish and chips were great as well. The fish was very fresh and the chips were extra crispy. The other set of chips were kind of fat so less crispy and needed ketchup 😁 The other two dishes were good but not as memorable as the bisque and fish. The dishes were large as well and we had to give up on dessert and coffee! Will definitely return, this time with a reservation!”
