  “I had such a wonderful visit to this cafe. The selection of pastries is absolutely incredible, and everything in the display case looks fresh and delicious. My dog was just as happy as I was, especially since they offer a puppuccino. It is so nice to find a spot that is truly welcoming to everyone. We will definitely be back soon.”

  “Yes, the coffee was good. However, the manager publicly humiliated a young employee, and so will not be returning. Over what was a minor issue - two bags had been purchased instead of one at a self-service checkout - the manager stood clearly in front of us as we waited for our coffees and spoke to the employee loudly in a way that was patronising, condescending, and with the tones of a school bully. If you thought we would be impressed by your ‘leadership’, I am afraid you misjudged the situation entirely. Perhaps you will learn that public embarrassment does not feel good and will offer that employee a sincere apology.”

  “Amazing independent coffee shop in Hitchin. Wherever I go in the world, I always seek out the best local independent coffee shops and this one is up there with my global faves. Bonus points that it's now my local coffee shop. Super friendly staff, great food selection, coffee is fantastic. Buy my beans from here now, too. Free coffee with a bag of beans purchase. Worth the extra 30 second walk to avoid the big chains on the other side of the town square!”

  “We popped in here while dog sitting and wanted a dog friendly cafe to get out of the cold. It's a really cute little shop with good drinks and cakes. The dog was brought a pup cup which kept her busy for about ten mins so we could eat our cakes 😊”

  “Truly the best coffee in Hitchin! I have lived here for years and always find myself coming back here. High quality products and amazing ingredients, all made with love and the staff are super friendly and caring. The atmosphere is stunning, beautiful design and very peaceful. No idea why more people don’t come here. They are missing out!”

  “Cute little café in a nice area with friendly staff. Not too many vegan food options, the one we had was nice although quite sweet. The hot decaf latte was better than average, only the Iced latte could’ve been a little more aromatic and a little less acidic aftertaste.”

  “Best coffee in Hitchin, this is what they say. And it is. Very flavoured and well served. Hot and tasty. With two small tables outside and big space inside with tables. Good service, clean place and very close to the town centre.”

  “Tucked away just off the market square Hitchin Coffee Lab undoubtedly is worth a visit. Welcomed by a very friendly girl who made me a very smooth flat white. They also sell their coffee which is roasted in Hertfordshire.”
