Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food's flavour and freshness, with the king prawn khatta mitha singled out for perfectly cooked prawns in a creamy, well spiced sauce. Others highlight tender lamb chops with saag aloo, a chicken makhuni with coconut rice and garlic naan, and fish and lamb dishes cooked to perfection. One table of four noted that every dish had its own character rather than sharing one curry base. Close behind is the staff, described as friendly, polite and attentive, with several waiters checking in through the evening. A large reunion party said the team kept drinks coming without pestering them to order. Portions are called just right, and one reviewer mentions Kingfisher or Cobra lager. A recent refurbishment is said to look incredible. The main caveat is noise: one Friday diner found several tables of eight or more so loud that their table of four almost had to shout, and cautions against Friday nights for a sociable meal. One evening ended with a complimentary drink after the plates and tablecloth were cleared.

“Amazing experience at Bombay Palace, came here whilst working in the area and the service and atmosphere were brilliant from the get go, the staff were really friendly and warming upon arrival. Service was quick the restaurant was full as well. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best Indians I’ve ever had, presentation was excellent and taste was amazing. Would definitely return again. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. The main reason our experience was so well was our fantastic server Paul, he had a very friendly attitude and went above and beyond for us.”

“Found this place via google, reviews looked good. Arrived and greeted with a smile and shown to my table. Prompt service for taking my order. I had the lamb chops and saag aloo. Both were so tasty, equally seasoned with spices. Not too hot (chillies), just right. The chops had a nice hint of ginger and were very tender. Overall, my visit was very satisfying at the right price. Wish I lived locally, as I would definitely return again! Well done the management and staff.”

“Had a great 50yr school rugby reunion here as a large sit down party and the service team handled it very well. Drinks kept coming, they gave us time to catch up and chat and weren’t pestering us every 5 mins to order. When the food came out it was really good, good naan and everyone seemed very happy with their food and portion size. Deffo would come here for a curry night out in a group.”

“Booking a table was very simple and easy to do. Paul greeted and seated us and very intently looked after us. I had the chicken makhuni curry which i highly recommend with the coconut rice and garlic naan. Food was full of flavour and was fresh. The choice of larger is good allso with a choice of either kingfisher or cobra wich are equally as good. I highly recommend this place and i will be returning soon”
