Customer Review Summary
The flavour of the curries draws the most praise. One reviewer calls it fabulous after finding the flavour flat at other Hexham curry houses, and another singles out a lovely onion bhaji. Inconsistency is the recurring complaint. A lamb madras is described as great on one visit and poor on the next, one reviewer's madras sauce arrived watery with chips that tasted cooked multiple times, and a delivered curry with dry chicken had been dropped, leaving curry everywhere. Service comes up nearly as often. Two reviewers describe the front desk as rude or as not caring, one after raising missing meat samosas, and another waited well past a quoted pickup time on a preordered meal, asking twice about the order. One reviewer reports finding a dead spider in a pizza box and says staff suggested it got in during the car journey. Another had a stone cold delivery, which a phone call fixed with a hot redelivery that the family found lovely.

“So im waiting for my train to Newcastle from hexham and its delayed .... shock. Alas there was no time to mourn my lost time as I spotted a takeaway begging to be tested. I asked if my food would be ready before the train came, they said of course. They made sure it was ready and with no detriment to the flavour. Thanks guys you made my night, lovely onion bhaji and very cool aesthetics for a little spot. Highly recommended 👌 👍”

“We ordered a takeaway for my son’s birthday. We collected our order went straight home and started to eat. My son then said there’s a spider in my food. I didn’t believe him at first. But looked in his pizza box to find a dead spider! This is not what I expected to see. My son was then put off his meal. I phoned to complain to be told it must have got in the box in the car as it didn’t happen in the kitchen. I don’t think so. We will not be returning for food again. Absolutely disgusting”
