  “We just had lunch here and ordered from the lunch-only menu. There was a good variety of choices, and we really enjoyed every dish we ordered. We especially appreciated that the food was served hot. The staff were very friendly. Everything was great. We recommend it to everyone.”

  “Initially thought it was a little pricey, we are used to London prices and it was similar cost wise, however the portions were pretty generous. The food was very tasty and staff were good with our kids.”

  “A party of 6. Visited Feb 26. The food was lovely. We ordered roast duck + soup + various dishes + noodles, rice and crispy seaweed. I particularly enjoyed my crispy beef in Peking sauce. It was lovely and peaceful with a relaxed atmosphere, though a shame more tables aren't filled. This place has had a rough time over the years trying to find its feet, but it exceeded expectations. Service was by young, perhaps a little bit inexperienced staff (no cutlery on the table by the time food came out). But they were very polite and we had a lovely evening and didn't feel at all rushed, thank you!”

  “We went for an evening meal, restaurant a little tired , we arrived and ordered drink and food within 5 mins and the starters arrived quickly , my wife said it was the best Won ton soup she had tasted , my salt and chilli chicken was good then the mains arrived quickly ( so far good ) I have eaten a lot of fried rice in various forms but never one that had an oil shine and taste . My wife's crispy duck was very good , the portions were large and the chips were a step to far . The phone never stopped ringing and the constant takeaway customers in & out or just waiting , 6 feet from our table were a bit much .”

  “6 of us called in not long before closing but we were welcomed in. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Food was delicious & large portions! We all had starters, mains & rice & 10 soft drinks between us, the bill coming to less than £30 each so a good price too! Highly recommend!”

  “Got baited by the "good" reviews. This was pretty expensive and the quality is just not there. The starters were okay-ish (good spare ribs), service was good, but the mains were a sweet, soupy mess. I've never seen that much sauce in a dish, and it was just so sickly sweet, you couldn't taste anything else (on purpose?). Very disappointed.”

  “Had a week in Hexham and ended up most nights earing here 😀! Nice service, always friendly and decent veggie options including a huge rice noodle dish (sometimes comes with egg so state if you want that or not when you order, menu says no egg..). Huge curry too and all good value here. I can't comment re take away but eating in was all good”
