About Lindfield Coffee Works
Lindfield Coffee Works is a coffee shop at Unit 2 in Haywards Heath, with its own roastery on site and bagged beans sold to take home. A bar pours wine and beer alongside the coffee. The food menu includes a breakfast bagel, banana bread with chai butter and maple butter toast, and mezze, plus a salad special. A small selection of sweet treats is on offer at 11am. Orders are placed at the counter, where the menus are kept, and the shop is set up for dine-in. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the breakfast bagel and the food more broadly, with the salad special of quinoa, roasted cauliflower, chickpeas and feta, the mezze, and the maple butter toast each singled out as tasty. Banana bread with chai butter, an iced latte and an ice cream milkshake also draw praise, and several describe friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere, and a welcome for dogs and young children, with room to sit in the garden. Coffee divides opinion. Many call it lovely or strong, while one says the espresso arrived alarmingly hot and over extracted, and a v60 was only slightly better. Others raise queues, a shortage of tables, and no menu handed out, leaving one party feeling rushed at the counter. One notes a small selection of sweet treats by 11am and another finds the cost high, with five coffees and breakfast close to the price of a three-figure bill. Another says chairs go onto tables and sweeping begins around 3.30pm, well before the stated closing time, which they describe as a regular occurrence.

“Nice coffee and nice place. Just a shame they are so quick to pack up early! Supposed to be open till five but by 3.30pm nearly all chairs on tables and sweeping up and this is a regular occurance...not welcoming in the afternoons!”

“Lindfield Coffee Works is one of our favourite spots in Sussex. I regularly come here with my 4-year-old daughter and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, the coffee is consistently excellent, and there’s a really lovely community feel every time we visit. It’s the kind of place that makes both parents and little ones feel comfortable, which is rare to find. Great food, great service, and always a highlight of our week. Highly recommend if you’re in Lindfield or the surrounding area.”
