Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return most for the cream tea, praising freshly baked warm scones with plenty of jam and clotted cream, and describing them as homemade. Close behind are the cakes, including a massive Victoria sponge, walnut cake and a light dairy free cake, along with a bacon and egg roll and an egg and sausage roll that reviewers call so good. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, and the view and outdoor balcony seating come up often. Dogs are noted as welcome by a few. The caveats are modest. One reviewer says the place gets very busy, and another was told on a map listing that e-bikes could be hired there, which turned out not to be the case. Parking draws a note too, with one reviewer pointing to a paid car park along the private road and a free one a 10 minute walk away. One group who booked a Mother's Day afternoon tea had the fillings changed on request, and took the leftover fudge and mini cakes home because they were too full.

“Popped in for black coffee (amerocano) and pot of tea with 2 walnut cakes. The staff here are friendly and really lovely. the building is pretty, especially inside the round part. Great selection of cakes, cream teas. Has outdoor seating and a must when at this beech. Love it here”

“Just the best cream tea. The jam pot is just a little further down the private road past the car park which is £5.50 for 2 hours. Or, if you up to it park in the free car park up by the road entrance and walk 10 minutes along the car park road.”
