“We were just going to play some pool then The owner shouted at us and told us to get out any way possible due to our age. first they told us we have to get a drink then they told us we have to be above 16. even though they say they are …”

“We spent a few days at the Travelodge, but every night we went to the Cornubia, I would say the best Sports bar in Hayle. The food was fantastic. Staff so helpful. Annie on our 1st night, and the landlord son, sorry forgot name and also the gent on late evening on Friday night, and they allow dogs. What more can 1 ask for. THANK YOU”

“Visited today as on holiday, was recommended by a local as my husband wanted to watch a football match. On arrival the barman who I believe was the manager served us and was very unwelcoming and quite intimidating. Then there was a problem with the TV connection, the poor barmaid who was very friendly called him to help as she hadn’t been shown how to deal with the problem. He reappeared and was so rude to her and belittled her in front of customers. Felt so sorry for her and not deserved. Totally unprofessional and very bad management.”

“## 🛑 DANGER: AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS 🛑 **Rating:** 0/5 Stars (1 star is far too generous) I feel a genuine moral responsibility to warn other travelers: **do not give this establishment a single penny.** Calling this place a "hotel" is a insult to hospitality. It is a health hazard, a rip-off, and felt less like a stay and more like an endurance test. Here is what you’re paying for if you make the mistake of booking: * **Unbearable Heat:** I stayed during a heatwave. There was no air conditioning, but to make matters worse, the heater was stuck on full blast and couldn’t be turned off. The room was a suffocating furnace—easily over 40°C. * **Disgusting & Dilapidated:** The walls were caked in mystery stains, and the furniture looked like salvaged trash from a dump—cracked, broken, and filthy. * **Not Even the Bare Minimum:** No towels. None. When a hotel can't even provide a towel to wipe off the sweat in a room they’ve turned into a sauna, you know management has completely abandoned all standards. ### The Management is a Joke The front desk staff stared at me with total apathy when I reported these conditions. But the manager was the absolute worst part of the experience—arrogant, rude, and aggressively dismissive. Zero accountability, zero basic decency, and complete contempt for paying guests. This place shouldn't be open for business. Sleep in your car, book somewhere else, or cancel your trip altogether, but **do not stay here.**”
